Been looking to get a real tone cable for a while but never seem to find it at a decent price. Any current good offers for this?

I bought this in the steam Xmas sales, but I'm getting bored with the songs now (for bass). does anyone know of a way to get the dlc songs cheaper than steam sell them for?

You buy it for PC ?
http://customsforge.com has loads of custom songs for free, some are made really well but others don't have a learning curve so it's a bit rubbish...

They're quite often in the Steam sales, they'll put everything bar the most recent songs up. Customs Forge used to have them, but the last time I checked they'd removed anything that had an official version and replaced it with a store link.

Is this good for absolute beginners? I'm close to buying an electric guitar & starting to learn

Perfect for beginners, I couldn't play a chord before I got it and now I can play full songs at 90% plus! It's still not easy but if you put the time in you'll definitely learn

Is there an acoustic guitar equivalent?

Cheers for that, not used my acoustic on there, nor did I entertain the idea until now.

Bargain. Over £50 for Xbox one version with cable.

Yes. You can now play with a USB microphone, instead of the Realtone cable.
Of course the quality of playback/reception will depend on your microphone, and obviously is better suited to acoustic. Electric is always going to be better with a direct cable input.

did they not update the game so you don't need the cable anymore ? pretty sure I had the option to play without now, but I have the cable to kept using it !
Don't get the Dream Theater packs unless you want to cry :stuck_out_tongue: Pretty awesome though!

300 Hours and it has substantially improved my guitar playing, it won't make you an expert but you will learn chord shapes and quick changes very easily with Rocksmith
