No but the hacker put 2-step on with his phone FFS!
Sony have wasted 2 days, telling me that I need to provide the mobile bill for the hacker's phone before they'll turn off 2-step :confused:
I finally got a useful guy on the phone today who has escalated the case but it looks like a movie weekend for me :disappointed:

This is off topic but issues like this really make me dislike Sony for their poor support. Microsoft offer much better service with Xbox... And I'm leaving it there before other people turn this into an argument :laughing:

Charge backs are a definite no no for Sony. I figured just blocking payments from PS would be okay as that's a bit different and no one would be harmed financially. Guess it's probably not worth the risk though

Agree 100% - I've only had to contact MS support once and they were flawless.
I accidentally bought a game that was scheduled to be free with Gold in 2 days and they refunded me without a qualm... I can't imagine Sony refunding me even if this hacker goes to town - I'll probably have to go through my bank.

I am but that's not how...
It was a library attack via a browser...
It's my fault really, I used the same password from day 1 and it was the same password as my Origin account which got hacked a few years back...
I'm switching to the "phrase" password method (i.e. "These boots were made for walking" becomes "Tbwm4w" or similar) so they can't do it so easily in future.

Hacks on PSN accounts are quite common. Go look on neogaf, there's at least one thread a week on the subject.

If you don't have 2FA enabled, do it ASAP!!

Got sniper elite- same price on US and CAN, $10.49 making it cheaper on CAN. Ended up buying off US so I only needed to buy $10 card- nothing else in the sale I fancied. Wish we'd see a sale like this on some of them VR titles.
