Simple. Grab your Gamecube by the handle, throw it against the wall. Put the Game case into the N64 cart slot and the disc into your Dreamcast. Job done.

how is the game? I've not played the previous titles but I'm quite interested in this one.
I've not described many games this way, but "beautiful and clunky". You can tell it's been originally developed for PS3 and ported somewhere along the line, but half way through you'll get lost in the gorgeous world and you won't want to leave Trico, he/she is easily one of the best companions ever in a game yet never says a word. It's a must play for any PS4 owner.

It's a wonderful game and yes the controls feel a little awkward and at times are annoying. It's got a big heart though, I really enjoyed it.

there are so many apologists for this game, come on people it's garbage. controls like this were acceptable, it's like controlling a Sherman Tank. Nothing remotely intuitive about it, saying it's got 'a big heart's not good enough. I've got a big heart, can I play for England FC then???

Controls just aren't such a big issue to some people? Are they perfect? No. Do they do they job?Yes. What is important here is the world they have created, the story, the incredible soundtrack and the amazing work they put in to make Trico as lifelike as possible. It's all game of the year stuff for those looking something different from the norm.

I'm fine with the controls on this, however I can only play it for 30 mins max before feeling sick due to the low framerate.

Great game. Yes the controls are like something from the PS1 but Trico is so mesmerising you get over it. The set pieces are outstanding too. Anyone who's a fan of gaming, bored of rehashes and likes a good adventure must play this.
There's a trophy for completing the game without dying. I challenge anyone to get it. The controls combined with Trico's unpredictability make it virtually impossible IMO.

I'm about 3/4 through the game.
I wished they'd varied the environment more. You do get a bit fed up looking at that castle all the time.
But apart from that, the actual level design is really quite good.
The controls though... ^%£"$"£%

If you like ICO and Colossus, this is a must. However the game backdrop is similar all the way through, the controls are bad and the camera is even worse. Its slowly coming down to an acceptable price.

Clunky controls go hand and hand with these games. Get used to it because the experiences are more than worth it, especially SOTC. Been messing around with it in 3D recently and it is still a mind blowing game.

The easiest way is to adjust the the laser on the Dreamcast GDRom drive, remove it from the console (it's easy, there's only 3 screws), then insert the ribbon cable into the Saturn's RAM expansion slot. The adjusted laser frequency on the drive will be able to read the Blu Ray disc data and the Saturn will have no problems playing it. But unless you use an additional VCD card, the video won't look so good.

Fun game with great puzzles and set pieces. Controls and framerate didn't ruin the game for me at all. Definitely worth the purchase at this price for a quick playthrough, then get it traded in for a portion of your money back.

I'm afraid he's right. Seriously frustrating in parts trying to get Trico to jump when you want him too and negotiating narrow corridors is hard work
Daves_mate
2 Feb 172#47
I can see that working but dont forget to reverse the polarity on the VCD card or you'll fry the thermal power coupling on the Saturn!! I've also hard wired my old Sega Master System in and using it as a dedicated physics processor to lighten the load. I've tested it running [email protected] (but only in short bursts).

Charming little game, bit of a diamond in the rough..
Controls are clunky, you'll have to fight the camera at times and Toriko's AI can be infuriating at points but it's overall a good game.
I don't think it will stand up to multiple playthroughs but for £20 you can't go wrong.
Without a guide I completed it in under 15hrs and didn't notice any significant framerate issues.

This game is amazing I loved every minute, so glad I got it as it is so different from the same old ****. first hour or two the controls were frustrating until you learned how to use them properly. to be honest I think it adds to the charm a bit as the kid is clumsy and you're trying to control a beast that can't talk. the story is brilliant and you feel part of the adventure and feel the characters emotions. Hands down the best part of the game is Trico (the beast), so life like you swear he is real. you regularly just stop what you're doing to watch him. Some of the puzzles are quite clever. thoroughly enjoyed this game and wish it lasted longer, please make another.

Haha. Fair play!
Can it be manipulated via some strategic save loading? Either way, I don't think I could stomach another play through as enjoyable as it was. Too little time to play all of the games I want to be playing anything twice.
