This is excellent value! Heat Turkey. The Witcher 3 Expansion Pass for £9.99 for PS+ has to be the best thing in this deal February Sale for me though! Just bought it but wish I had seen the CD Keys link first!

Worth it even if I own 2016?
Got out of buying the upgrade every year now as i don't think it's worth the cost when you already have a very enjoyable game. All be it a year out of date.
So how much of an upgrade is it is the question.

Always been one for owning the disk/hard copy but having just bought a PS4 & being a PES fan since the PS2 days & not being able to find the disc version under £30 anywhere, I'm seriously tempted??
Rubbish game online this year (possibly even more scripted that fifa). But for anyone interested I heard MyClub becomes free to play from tomorrow as part of the trial version.

It's not scripted.
It's just weighted by player form.
Lots of people pick their best players regardless of the arrows.
A bad player with a blue up arrow will probably play better (and make less errors) than a great player with a red down arrow.
Not scripting. Just realistic.
I've had Ramos play like a lemon and gift chances to the opposition when out of form.
I've had Peter Crouch play better than Aguero.
It's caught the white benchers out as now you really need a full bench otherwise form will F you.
But scripted for the sake of it?
Nope.
I'm on a monster unbeaten run at the moment. And I'm not even that good! Just picking players in form.

Yeh it's a shame as the core game is actually a very good football game!
The reason for scripting is just money, its a risk as it may make your loyal fans deflect away, but it makes the game more accessible to casual players (more likely to win games no matter how good you are), and this leads to more sales of coins/packs.
Sad really. Have had my fingers crossed for a third football powerhouse to come along for a long time, maybe that's what Konami & ea need to wake up.

Agree totally, it should be like earlier versions of FIFA, so that when you and your matched opponent appear on screen, you both select your team in full view of each other, and if the glory hunter picks RM or Barca then you just press the back button and find another match.
Even a poor player has a great chance of winning if he picks 1 of those teams as all the players are **** hot, great if you beat them though

Great gameplay and overall solid, but the same online problem remains of being lagged out. Winning 4-1, opposition pauses game in 82nd minute myclub cup final. Game crashes and the game is deemed void. Happened too many times.

Ive had it when its been 0-0 or 1-0 and the games canceled but agreed the connection was awful from the start.
Other than that, opposition tend just to quit/Score 3 own goals but you still get the points

I really like the game, but agree hate how scripted it sometimes feels. I dont know how it works
sometimes i can win 10-0
other times im winning 3-0 then i just feel my players slow completely down, win nothing in the air etc. ends up about 3-2 or 3-3

This happens to me all the timem like 5 mins of play left I am winning 1 or 2 nil and playing comfortably and then players slow down, cant win any tackles and every ball into the box ends in a goal the other way

You've been lucky then. It is so frustrating, after putting the hours in and that happens. It has come to the point now where I have given up with PES online. I've had matches where points were awarded for straight up quitters but shows lagout issue still hasn't been solved from years back. This is where PES will die.

Behold the King, the King of Kings! Bow down to the, bow down to the KING! Far superior to FIFA at least on offline gameplay. I just got all the offline trophies recently and now working on the online trophies heading up to that devilish "6 wins in a row vs Superstar COM on myclub" :confused:

I havent played it online, but offline vs the computer or in 2 player its easily the best football game i've ever played. Its keeping me from playing Witcher 3- so cant be bad!

Yes I always update each year regardless but this is the best footy game I've played in years. Not a huge jump from 2016 but all the small improvements make the game as near perfect as it's been for a long time. At this price it's a no brainer

yes of course. I bought some really cheap games on PS4 previously due to price glitch and I haven't got a ps4 anyway. As long as you have registered on PSN you're fine.

The value is subjective, now the free version includes both pes league and MyClub, I'd say zero point in buying the game if you are only interested in online.
Having said that online is where the game fails in my opinion, but still :stuck_out_tongue:
Played over 600 Myclub games and it's definitely not IMHO.
Some folk are just crap/don't understand the form thing.
I've even had players I've beaten moaning about scripting after games. Mostly children tbh.

My online rating is @ 900 in division 5. Even if i am being beaten or dominating my opponent i realize "im winning literally everything, the ref is calling no fouls for me but fouls for him" or vise versa.
This is even with players on blue/green arrows

It's more noticeable dependant on your playstyle, at least that is my theory, but it's definitely there. The fact that I was div 1 on 2016 and some say scripting is as bad in that makes me think playsytle is a factor as I didn't notice it.
I definitely noticed winning a higher percentage of games when playing people higher rated than me, and losing or drawing against much lower rated. They call it adaptive ai, momentum, scripting, whatever. It's there for sure.
Anyway the link is there, lots of experiences and video evidence can be found for anyone that wants to investigate further.

But you don't know what form your opponents team is in do you?
They could be all red and bang out of form.
They could be all blue and bang in form.
Of course, you could both be fielding in form teams, and then individual player skill becomes more important.
The refs do all vary, and the Malicia skill wins certain players loads of cheap freekicks with some of them.
But I don't think that's scripting to the point the game is weighting things against me or my opponent. They're just variables is all.

Is it as easy as uploading an option file? I downloaded the kits, managers etc last year and it took aaaagggggeeesssss to individually upload each one. I literally spent more time editing than I did playing :confused:

Yes one of the main reasons I stopped buying FIFA and its a shame to see its in PES also. As soon as games were attuned for the masses games started devolving (around when xbox became popular).

Pretty much so, download 'patch' for Premier League, put on a usb stick and just point game towards the right folder and everything uploads in one go. Can add championship, Champions/Europa League etc.

tried using this file yesterday, followed the guidelines step by step, but it only seemed to update the 1st league teams, eg Premiership. They all worked fine and adding the logos for each competition etc. was easy enough.
Seems strange as the file does contain names for all the other lower league teams but they just didn't seem to get updated.
Do you need an active PSN subscription to get this?
