I think after cooking something for a while, leave the door open for a bit to let all the steam out. Then shut it later.

Wish they just had a dial rather than all the fathing about with buttons and a display
Far easier just turning the dial to 2 minutes and ping!
The real question is
Is it stainless inside or is it painted!

Cheapest I can see online is £79.99 so that's why I snapped one up.
It's pretty nice, only thing I'd critise is the lead is shorter than our old one, so was a bit more fiddly getting it to the socket we used for the old microwave.

Was it an inverter type like in this deal or a cheaper budget model?

I have a Panasonic inverter microwave I've now owned for several years & still going strong. The only thing I would say although this is a 1000W combi model it doesn't seem to heat food so quickly as the Sharp 800W normal rotary microwave I have.

It works like this...
Press power setting to choose wattage.
High 950w
Med 600w
Low 400
Etc
Then you turn the dial for the time u want to cook then press start. Also has a simple child lock on it too which is handy.
Inside its power coated of some sort.
I presume it isn't stainless steel inside as I'm sure metal would cause all sorts or sparks ;-)

We have a delonghi one with a dial I got it about 15 years ago, the dial on that stop working properly almost straight away where it seems not to respond so well when turning, like it doesn't register the time you are setting it for, you have to slow the turning for it to register.
Our one is stainless inside so that doesn't cause sparking. It's funny I think I read somewhere that actually it is ok to have certain metal objects in microwave and doesn't cause sparking so I tried it one time with a piece of cutlery it was ok but things like foil are a nightmare.
Oh also this delonghi has a grill but that has never worked either..

Had similar one to this. Rusty inside after 12 months and had to throw it. When I complained the person said it was because we didn't leave the door open when not cooking. Who does this??? Would NOT recommend.

Think that's normally a little cheaper than the nn-sd271. It's only 800w non-inverter rather than 950w inverter and white rather than stainless.

Alternatively you can set the memory to a power and predefined time (say 950w and 1 minute). Then just press memory button and start, easy! If you need more than 1 minute then turning the dial whilst cooking increases it in 1 minute increments.
Just replaced a Samsung (failed twice in 12 months) with this and generally happy. Very quiet, cooks quickly and light inside good but the dial feels a little scratchy (though more accurate than the knackered Samsung one!).

Is a bargain, but as I use microwave heavily over the years, I've had 3 Panasonics all fail within about 2 years. Currently using a Sharp cheapy which has been going strong with no let up for the past 3 years.

5 Feb 171#44
If it works anything like my Panny then it's very simple by a twist of the dial. Most items you put in a microwave are under 30 mins & it doesn't take much twisting to get to that.

Picked one up yesterday, seen it last week but checked it out first. Yet to try it. Argos price of £134.99 looks ready to be halved, making it around usual selling price. Not as substantial as the 30-year old Sharp it's replacing as I carried it with one hand. Another nice thing was at the checkout, won 5000 Nectar points
