It must be the old stock? I thought the newer one should have the phone app/mount instead of the bluetooth display.
which I never bothered to replace the battery when the first one dies.

I got this for £12.50 in Tesco last week! Didn't realise that was such a good deal!

Tesco have recently had the 650 (not 6500) reduced to clear at £12.50. Maybe that's what you found?
Mine's been like that from new (a cheaper model than this btw). As said, Li-on batteries give much better life, power and hold charge better.
They are more expensive, but are coming down in price.

They should stop adding all these stupid bells and whistles and start to focus more on the battery life. Blue tooth on a toothbrush is just ridiculous. Put Li-ion batteries in the cheaper 2000 models, bump up the price a bit and they will sell well. The batteries are clearly the weak point, and obviously they aren't easily replaceable!

The "Genius" range have li-ion batteries, will upgrade our "2000"s to them once they come down to vaguely sensible prices!

Much better than manual but the batteries are tosh. I'm lucky to get a week between charging. It's about time they improved them.

I always replace the batteries once the warranty has run out. Get almost a month out of a charge then
