Yesterday 'FantasyDeals' posted a deal for this for £7.99.. I thought it was worth £8 just to see if the negativity toward this game was warranted :smiley: so today I bit the bullet and when the guy gave me my change I thought he'd made a mistake and given me too much, obviously I was dishonest and made my exit but when I got outside to check my receipt it had actually scanned as £4.99 even though it was priced as £7.99? So now I'm thinking how can this game not be worth a 5er? I'm sure there will be plenty of comments from perhaps rightfully angry idiots who stupidly bought into the hype machine behind this and then moronically paid full whack at launch but only idiots never learn so fire away and expose yourselves :wink: only playing everyone is entitled to their opinion.. even if it is "you'd have to pay me £4.99 to play this and I'd still hate it!"

I also picked up the division for £9.99 and 2 deus ex universe t-shirts from game for a 5er each :smiley:

Bought on PC at launch and never regretted it, because I knew what to expect. I knew it wasn't multiplayer, I knew mega dinos wouldn't be around every corner etc.
It's a good game as long as you're not expecting something it isn't.

disadvantage of digital release; you don't get situations like this where there's so many pre-owned copies they get dumped cheaply.

I would like to see some sort of 'lunar rover' that you could drive around the planet, which would mean you could see a lot more of each planet you land on. I am still enjoying the game after 20+ hours.

I don't know why people are hating on this game. It has limitless possibilities. The base building add-on is brilliant now and the game was never meant to be completed quickly.
Play the game and enjoy it. Explore like a true explorer and give the game at least 20 hours play before whining. You will end up enjoying it.
If Sean and his team allow us to see who else is in the same area as us then this would make the game amazing. Even allow us to kill one another and steal resources.

It's a good idea. But the content is too bland. The aliens are a bit pointless and I'd rather them all attack me so it feels like a proper survival sci-fi. Instead they just wander around doing nothing. As soon as you get your spaceship fixed it feels too easy and the planets are too 'samey'. It's ok for a little sightseeing but I ended up losing interest quickly aimlessly flying into space without a hyper drive or whatever I need to get to other galaxies far far away

Graphics, sound, input...just missing gameplay and content. The input is annoying as heck too with the silly hold the button stuff, at least on the pc you can mod it out but the poor sods on the playstation have to endure all the annoyances.

Everyone seemed to like the initial discovery phase, say a few hours which gets you beyond the steam refund phase, but once that is over the game is shockingly bad as you will discover for yourself.

On the update, a space exploration game gets its first update, what can it be? Is it new ships? New equipment? Massive space battles? Some exploration vehicles? No it is boring bases so you can be a boring space farmer. Update was pretty useless.

edit: I am assuming that there is still no ability to mod the ps4 version, no idea if this has been implemented even though it was meant to be in the original 1.0 version from the release date of around August 2016.

for anyone who somehow has an opinion on this game yet hasn't played it......give it a go! I bought it to make my own decision and opinions rather than the online "auto hate as someone else said so" mentality

I picked up a copy yesterday and just the first section where you are repairing your vessel has been quite interesting the overall game experience of sourcing pretty good. Graphics, sound, input response, menus are all well constructed and thought out too

its taken beatings over the last year and I agree for the 45 pound original price tag its not what was promised at all. If you however look at it for what it it now effectively is - a £5-15 (used / new) ambitious indie studio game, you really get quite a bit for your money when you include the huge recent update

If you shop around you can easily purchase a full set of coasters with much better designs for less than £4.99. There is only one in this, so I can't really recommend it unless maybe you own one already and want a matching set.

A top tip for anyone who already has one of these, if you remove the paper leaflet from the cover aswell as the coaster inside, it actually increases considerably in value and becomes quite useful. I'm not even kidding - try it and you'll see this is actually true. The removed coaster can also be used as a frisbee and thrown at people.

I bought this at release for £35, and I really enjoyed it at that price. Is it perfect? No. But it was far more interesting and entertaining than another COD, another FIFA.........

The box is in good condition.. had it not been I'd have removed the stickers and swopped everything over with the best case in store :smiley: I always do it at cex! If there's a bluray I want I find another film in a cardboard slip case (because they're almost always immaculate) and swap the sleeves/stickers over.. I just can't help myself! In fact I wouldn't buy one unless the case was near perfect :/

No sure if Xbox / PS4 get the same updates as PC but In all honesty if you like exploring and collecting (Now Building) you can sink hours into it. I played it for 130+ when It first came out. Really enjoyed it.
