£30 credit is immediately applied to your account, making this the cheapest way I can find to get both the Switch and Breath of the Wild on launch day.
Alternatively you could use the code against the 1 2 Switch bundle and get that for £283.98,
That's hot, though I don't know about Very's availability (will they have launch stock?) and when is the money taken from card / at dispatch or at order?
Heat either way.
TheCrackInTime to Moonky

With the exception of the MK8 bundle (which isn't a launch game), everything is apparently launch stock. As to when they take the money from your card, I don't know as I used the 12 month BNPL option.

If you open a credit account you can pay in like a year but if you want to buy it outright then it is money up front.

Had this in my basket and been hovering over the 'add to account button' on a few occasions over the last week or so, but managed to resist as I was hoping they'd do something like this (I had been a bit worried that they might sell out). Having said that, they'd probably still sell them if they didn't have the stock!
Good price, especially with 12 months BNPL. What could possibly go wrong....

I was expecting a change from Nintendo but they just doing the usual shovel it out in big steaming heaps. I ordered before the full details of the console came out. I'll end up with one but not paying the price they are charging the accessories are a joke. I loved the wii u but this seems like a step in a wierd bizarre direction that no one will understand.

I've cancelled my order, this may be a good deal but for the money there are just not enough games at launch.
MrJed
9 Feb 171#15
I have to say I am also very tempted to cancel my pre order and buy zelda for the wii u to make up for it. Just no real need to have one at the moment. Would like Mariokart, but I bet this is going to be one of the first games bundled with it, so just seems silly to go for it at launch.
Buying once the new Mario game is out seems to make much more sense. Just bound to come with a game of some sort by then even if it is 1-2 Switch.

That's a really bad idea. Even amazon don't have stock for launch day delivery, so Very are "very" unlikely to have enough stock to deliver on day one. Look at the Ps4 threads a couple of months ago on how they cancelled thousands of orders...their stock control for pre-orders is a complete joke, they'll keep taking order after order with no regard to allocated stock levels!

Agreed, if you ever have a problem then get ready for a lengthy and bitter battle. I think once the stock is sat in warehouses after zelda hype has died out we will start to see bundles with free games probably around mario release. Most of the launch games be £20 by then and the console will slide to £250.

Can anyone tell me if this console is not competing with PS4 or Xbox one, then why it's being charged like them? Am a Zelda fan but no way it justifies this price. Another outdated money grabbing scheme from Nintendo.
Not sure how it's a money grabbing scheme? It's a shiny new console, I can't remember the price of PS4 and XBox, but I don't think they were for off this price at launch.

10 Feb 17#46
How do you do the 12 months BNPL option? I can't see it as an option
Ross101
10 Feb 17#47
It's priced like a new console normally is compared to the Xbox one and PlayStation 4 on launch it's cheaper. However Nintendo are over charging on accessories like pro controllers! Nintendo have never wanted to compete with the other 2 they do their own thing. The wii u was a failure but I have hopes that they can succeed with the switch it's a good bit of tech just needs the support

10 Feb 17#51
This same old rhetoric is getting old now. "Outdated" Like the PS4 and Xbone already at launch you mean? If you care about specs / power / graphics more than anything else; get a gaming PC. The PS4 and Xbone are more than 3 years old now and they are not hybrid portable so the comparisons are apples to oranges with the Switch.
The accessories on the other hand are overpriced but whatever, just don't buy them ..prices will fall.
Spud211
10 Feb 17#52
Aren't these codes just generic discount codes off a certain spend @ Very? I.e. they are not specific to the switch.
This doesn't seem a deal to be honest - the price of the switch + Zelda is £329.99 - which is exactly the same price as buying them separately on Amazon. Fair enough if listed as another location to pre-order (assuming they still have release day allocation), but listing it as if it's being sold at a cheaper price is just incorrect, surely?
Many other stores have discount codes/cashback/whatever that may also work with a Switch pre order - or I could list any other products on Very as a deal?
Should be in vouchers imo...

mike_6480

11 Feb 17#62
Cn someone confirm if they take payment now or despatch??
Ross101

Wooders666
11 Feb 17#64
I'll leave it for now. Take receipt of both. That way as long as I can sell the console for £280 I'll still have my copy of Zelda for 24 quid. Might just have to wait, but getting it for that cheap would be fine. I'm getting Bomberman for £20 or less (got a voucher from the free baby box error) to tied me over, as well as if there are any eshop titles I'm interested in.
