I must admit I was quite shocked at the level of sugar in Shreddies. I'd just assumed that as it doesn't in any way taste sweetened, the sugar content would be minimal. It was only on hearing a casual reference on the radio & thinking "That can't be right" that I checked. Every 100g has the equivalent of 5 sugar cubes. I'd wager that many then add a dusting of sugar on top!

:disappointed: sadly feels like a different world now. Used to love the toys that came in the cereal boxes.

The weirdest thing I ever saw on the back of a cereal box when I was a kid was this picture of humans being kept in a hive as food for alien larvae.

Good memories. There were several Battlestar Galactica transfer scenes.
Anyone remember the Dr Who games with Weetabix packets ? 4 to collect and they join together to make a big board game.

And when you've finished, cut the box up into 20 x 20mm pieces and eat those, you'll never tell the difference.

Pretty sure our Poundland has 500g Shreddies for £1 permanently... surely no-one would pay that original price for cereals...?!
Opening post
7th June now up to £1.50
