Great port on the Wii U despite obvious shortcomings in terms of links to the previous 2 games and lack of the popular DLC that other consoles have. Online was still reasonably active a couple of months back on the Wii U - didn't have any troubles finding a bronze or silver level match.
GamePad adds a new tactical element to the gameplay which makes you feel more like you're directing two other team mates rather than making them become cannon fodder since you can tap the screen to direct them properly to flank enemies or go round to attack from behind.
