Thanks for the detailed post OP. I always wonder if the starter and 'special' drink/desserts are worth paying the extra tenner over their usual dine in deal....especially when my local m&s is never stocked properly anyway.

The main courses are a more expensive option than normal, with the beef Wellington on its own normally priced at £14

Beef Wellington's are usually £14, nice, but definitely not worth £7 each. The starters are a little too fishy for my liking. If the drinks include Prosecco I'm sold. <3

"Made by four generations of the Cavalier Umberto Boschi family" Im Italian never heard of this nonsense.
Don't be a killjoy...it sounds good, it doesn't matter that family doesn't exist.

Will they actually have all these choices in store or is it store specific/online. Whenever i go into m&s the choices tend to be restricted down to about 4

Thanks for your long detailed list. It's very useful to have.
A little tip I do is save it as an email to my ' Own ' email and then when in M & S I know what's exactly available as M & S don't have the full list of what you can get on the display, just what you can pick.
It's also worth checking where the sides, mains, desserts are usually if they have none on their front display. So long as it has the Black sticker on the dish you choose, e.g. Starter, Side, Main and Dessert.

Also worth asking the staff for a print out of the available drinks, which they claim they don't publish because it differs from store to store.
The real reason is because they have a preferred list, which is the stuff they want to get rid of, and a 'reserve' list which is the better stuff which probably costs more to use in case they run out. When the wines of the month are on the dine in deal they are on the reserve list.

The wines and Wot Wines ratings
White
Friuli Sauvignon Blanc - £6.50 (rrp £6.99)
St Mont - £4.50 (rrp £8.00)
Macon Villages 2012 - £8.00 (rrp £9.99)
Went today, just a load of rubbish like duck legs and steaks left so not really worth £20. Everyone was sighing and leaving. I guess they have limited stocks of the low profit margin items and rely on selling the higher margin items at the last minute to people shopping on the day. Off to Tesco!
