Good deal on the 55". Cheaper than the tv on it's own plus you get a free ps4
Anyone know what the HDR is like on these? I've read it's only 400 nits but not too sure what that relates too in quality. I've read that HDR requires about 1000 nits!

To qualify for Ultra HD Premium a TV needs to be HDR with 1000nits. That seems to be the benchmark. The entry level for that currently is the KS range from Samsung.

In one word hopeless it has no wide colour gamut and on top of that no dimming whatsoever why they add HDR to sets like this is beyond me.

Shame its not a pro, seems a bit daft doing a 4k HDR set then putting the machine that makes no use of it with it!

This is the XD70 so it's a non-HDR TV. Well, it has support for HDR formats, but none of the hardware needed to display it.
HDR standards go to 10,000 nits. 1000 is only for the UHD Premium label.
The key hardware feature needed for great HDR isn't brightness itself but lots of local dimming zones so you can actually make use of that brightness. The best TVs right now have 500+ zones like the Panasonic DX902 and Sony ZD9.
