I went to Lidl last night before seeing this post, and noticed that the mangos appeared larger than normal. Maybe why they're cheaper, maybe coincidence?

It'll be a different producer, probably from a different country to the previous week. Most likely a slight change in colour as well. And with the producer, Lidl can get a better deal at this time.

their tacos (£1.49) were very nice with some extra chilli powder in mince, half a green pepper and a few spring onions in the pan plus some grated cheese, lettuce and tomato toppings.
next time i'd pay the £1.89 for the old el paso kits tbh, little between them but OLP sauce is chunkier (and 10 tacos fits the recipe better than the 12 of lidl kit)
i got both the mexecana block at £1.39 and the pre-grated nacho cheese at £1.49, not tried former yet but latter is very bland, barely tastes of anything - rather buy their 400g/£1.49 cheddar in future.

The mangoes are pretty good: they take a while to ripen but seem a good buy overall. Somewhat disappointed that wk beg 23rd there are not fruit bargains - which is highly unusual?
