I'd say no the overall spec is very poor, right now you can get a Hisense 65M7000 for the same price it has a far better specification.

I love this TV and have been in Richer Sounds to view it. I'm told that it does suffer with input lag though. So if your planning to plug your X-box or PlayStation be aware.

I'm on the look out for a new TV as mine died a couple of weeks ago.....there seemed to be loads of good deals around Christmas time (picked up a nice Hisense for my nephew) but typically now I need one there isn't much about.
I'm looking for something between 50" and 65" and I'm willing to pay up to £1,000.00.....but hoping to pay in the region of £500.00.
It seems like a bit of a minefield with all the talk of 8bit/10bit etc, so any useful buying advice would be much appreciated as would any would recommendations and deals.
The fact this LG TV is A++ energy rated is a big plus point for me.....?

I suggest you go look in the shop at this model and others. LG make good enough TVs for most people, as do Sony and Samsung. Mostly, its personal choice that matters, if you like the look of it buy it.

I think you should try to get the best you can, so dont go in the £500 range, most spend most their time infront of a tv so why not invest all the money you can?
I think 65 inch, as with 4k its better to go bigger

Honestly no, HDR is based around a colour gamut which the film industry to end TVs can use. And as I said before, gamut and bits are unrelated. A wide gamut can give a increased max/min RANGE of colour, bits gives more small steps of colour difference within a any givin gamut, bits do not increase the visible range (gamut). So HDR can work well on 8bit, promise!

My bad i quicky used google search using Hisense M7000 as my keywords the first entry was showing £899 for a 65 inch at AO turns out it's a K5510 not a M7000 .

And if we were talking about a computer monitor that would be a valid point.
But this is a TV so the only time a 10-bit panel matters is for HDR content and this has none of the other hardware needed to display HDR.

Very basically, colour gamut has nothing to do with 8/10bit images. Any bit image could be displayed over a very wide colour gamut. Any colour gamut could display any bit image. Both can be useful, but they are not connected.
