This is the cheapest I can find for this set at the moment after a couple of days of research and checking out ebay etc (where lots of people are trying to sell it for a lot more!) May help someone out who is looking to buy this set.
The whole idea of this site is to be able to visit it and see a bargain you didn't know about or to search for something you are already trying to buy to find a lower price on. My post is designed to help people already actively looking to buy this set make sure they pay the lowest price possible for it, that's the "deal" part of it regardless of whether you think the product is worth the price or not. It mistifies me that people stop and comment "How much?!!??!" etc on something they are not even interested in. Why waste precious moments of your life doing that? Ignore it and move on. The amount people are willing to pay for something is all relative to how much money they have and how much they want something. There's really no point in getting into debates on what is worth the price it has or not. Unless you really have nothing better to do?

You probably dont see my point, because you deem this good value for money.
As hotmep above says. £150 for one set of lego is ridiculous regardless of whether £150 is a lot of money or peanuts to people

Yes, funnily enough I was there on the weekend, taking my little boy in to see the new store. We had to queue for about half an hour but he liked it once he was in there!

Went into London with friends last week. The queue in the morning was about an hour. We opted to go back in the evening. Waited about 10 minutes. Kids were happy.

When did lego become this expensive? This is ridiculous.
This is a good spot - It wasn't that price when I posted this deal.

I was trying to ascertain the point of the question, which has an obvious answer.

£150 expensive? Lego seems to be offering less and less at its price points, that much seems to be true. The last couple of Marvel/DC offerings for £20 seem smaller than a few generations ago. The £12 ones are a joke a the moment, 2 figures and not much else in some cases.
I couldn't resist the Lepin route a few months ago and got the Millennium Falcon for £33 expecting it match the price but it exceeded it and it some ways looks cleaner without 'lego' stamped on everything.

I don't think spending £150 on Lego is surprising. It's spending all that on just one set, and on one which looks particularly limited and uninspiring.

the fact that when i said it was expensive, you took issue with this, implying that you disagreed with my point.
So originally I asked "do people pay £150" for this.
you replied "yes" (answering my question) "whats your point?" (you are not stupid its obvious that my point was i thought this was expensive, on such a platform these things can be discussed)
My conclusion, was the fact you are getting so defensive, implies you are trying to reason with me why this "isnt" a bad deal.

As others have just explained my apparent "defensiveness" was to show you it is deal if it's the cheapest available regardless of how expensive you or anyone else thinks it is.
Why do people insist on visiting threads that they no interest in or do not like the price of? I'm sure the people who spend their hard earned money on such items will be devastated to learn not everyone approves.

Do what everyone else who spends huge amounts on expensive lego sets does. Buy it, sit on it, sell it for 5 times you paid for it when discontinued, simples!

I'm not angy, I'm fascinated (which drew me to the thread in the first place) I didn't expect this to be hot, but amazed that people think it's a deal in the first place. But fair enough they do.
I'm not debating with anyone. I posted 1 comment and got my answer with a question which I replied to.
To me, whislst it may be cheapest around. To me a deal is only if its worth its rrp in the first place. 150 quid for lego.....firm believer in value for money. If you can spoil your kids for this sort of money then go ahead.
I also don't believe , a rrp is whatever people are willing to pay for. People are idiots, and fair play to Lego for marketing it so well

Still overpriced and 4yrs from retirement. LEGO are struggling with poor sales on this and he house as few people in the UK even like the Simpsons. Cooling added.

The problem is, that its not quite as clear cut as you so innocently describe, you quite clearly stated that lego buyers must be idiots (your words) for spending this amount of money on plastic bricks and this then started the back and forth. Now if you had simply stated "I dont really think they are worth the money, but this is the cheapest you can find" fellow forum posters would not feel the need to reply, when approached regarding your attitude you replied by stating in a snideway that "Deep down they know what they are" again your words. The whole thing was started by you and you have delighted by trying to have the last word by trolling the thread and you are simply a disgrace.

Of course they still would have had a go, whatever way I said it, I've knocked their precious Lego deal.
