I paid 250 for mine on the week it came out...gutted..heat from me... :confused:

I bought the white one and its a 1/1 reproduction (you even use the lego instructions) .Only thing that lets it down is the stickers, butyou can get lego one from ebay for cuppa quid (Lep one does not have any official logos, has equiv one in its place)

This is a good price - cheapest I've ever seen.
Mine took 12+ hours to build and definitely tougher than expected but kept me occupied for a few weeks each evening.
It's pretty impressive how well put together it is well worth the money imho

Out of interest, how do people know when Lego sets are going to be retired?

Not even with your super local store deals that you never post to join your one and only deal but then always say got better or disagree with the ops.

One example. Paid £30 for set 42038 before xmas, now retired ( or approx. £21.50 with coupon and Quidco 15% cashback) and recently sold a set for £64.99 on ebay. After shipping and fees, I make £37 profit.

Good price. Heat added.
If you're bothered about the state of the box tho I'd not bother as pretty much all of my ASDA C&C the boxes have been battered.

I got loads of lego when sainsburys used to do the half price lego.got well over double back what I paid. I have no problem making money from it.

Not sure about you but ASDA wouldnt be the first place I go to buy a lego set worth a few hundred £. I've noticed these on sale once already at my local asda and they had about 15 boxes of them on the upper shelf. Next week they were on the bottom and down to around this price. I'm holding out for another price drop while keeping an eye on the stock levels.

I agree, plus the heavy discounting on this at retail suggests they are not selling that many of them.

Best thing about lego sets soon as they retire you can get back double what you paid.
