We have one, and we use ours for:-
remove condensation from windows in a morning
removing water from shower doors after a shower
removing water from tiles around bath after a shower
removing water from bath, after a bath
cleaning house and car windows
picking up spills on any hard surface (floor, worktop etc)
great for cleaning windows and mirrors as it leaves them streak free

Have only used ours twice in 6 months. It does it's job well but I can still see it ending up in the same cupboard as our toasted sandwich maker, food processor, slow cooker and Sodastream fizzy drinks maker.

Exactly! In my old victorian house for 3 months of the year this removes all the condensation in about 5 minutes for all the windows, compared to about 10 minutes faffing about with cloth and bucket (which is what I used to do). This saves me a minimum 90 x 5= 450 minutes = 7.5 hours to enjoy as leisure time. It also saves the paintwork which means no painting required for last 4 years which has now saved me an additional two weeks of labour. So if you have an old house with old windows it is a no brainer.

If you have high gloss worktops, this is the machine for you. I have black granite worktops, and have always struggled to keep them looking shiny and pristine, no matter what cleaning product used. Now I just run over the tops, section at a time with a soapy cloth. Use the Karcher, wipe the blade in between passes, and hey presto, absolutely immaculate.
No chemicals, no elbow grease, no polishing up to a shine. If you have any kind of high gloss worktop, I urge you to get one of these.
The WV2 premium, with spray bottle and extra smaller head is £17 in Tesco Inverness

er.. if the water can't get out it will just condense wherever it is cold.
I live in an old shop with huge old single glazed windows. I currently need a dehumidifier to control condensation. I'd like one of these.. I wonder if the Maplin one that is £9.99 is any good because my Tesco doesn't have the Karcher.

Managed to pick one of the premium ones up last night. It's superb! can't believe I've gone this long without one. We have a problem with condensation on Windows so this will help till we get them sorted.

21 Feb 17#58
But condensation will just come right back, no? In my coffee shop my windows steam up all the time. We sponge the windows with washing up liquid and rub that in with blu roll and it keeps the condensation away for a couple of days.

I agree the units are useless, but they come with 2 years warranty as standard. I know because I contacted Karcher online (having purchased from Amazon) and they replaced mine that had died 3 month before its 2 years were up.

Mine died just over a year. It wouldn't charge (red charge light kept flashing) so I contacted the company and they pretty much said they cannot help me because its over 12 months since purchase. She (customer support) did not even provide a contact to a department I could ask what maybe the problem... I would still buy another one if I can find one for £14 but still annoyed with the customer "no" support.

Not the same as vacuum and broom at all. A broom won't suck dirt out of a carpet. A squeegee and cloth will deal with all the jobs mentioned perfectly and in my experience just as quick and with less hassle.
Taking your analogy on board though, I use a broom instead of a hoover on hard floors because it's much easier and more effective. The latest tech isn't always the best for every job.
These vacs are definitely a case of "buy with your heart, justify with your head".
I was given one as a present, I use it to clear condensation from the window in the morning. But only because I have it. It either has to sit looking ugly in the corner of the room, or I have to move it somewhere else. My trusty old squeegee and cloth used to tuck away nice and discreetly.
It does the job well enough, although getting the bottom of the window is tricky because it hits the windowsill; another shortfall that I don't get with a squeegee. I'll be secretly glad when the battery inevitably dies.

If you live in a house where you get condensation on your windows in the morning these are a god send. We use ours daily in the winter and have done for a couple of years. If you don't live in a house with this issue then it's maybe not for you but if you do, it will be one of the best things you buy.

I have a large conservatory adjoined to my tiled kitchen with 15-20 panes of glass. We use a Karcher which helps control condensation/steam on the tiles and windows. A squeegee would do the same if it weren't for the excess water, which you could use a towel/kitchen roll for. However for me it is more convenient using the Karcher, which sucks the water in. We also use it on our shower screen.
My only gripe, is the size of it. Quite chunky and you would feel it over a pro-longed use period. If this was slimmer (like a squeegee) it would be more appealing.
Would still buy it though as it has saved me a lot of time
