Good deal for those interested in the Limited Edition.
Was £69.99, now £54.99.
This Limited Edition pack includes the base game (lowest price seperately - £38.99) with a steelbook case, artbook, PS4 theme and in-game DLC.
This Limited Edition is only sold at GAME, so this is the only option for those who would like to own a limited edition without having to buy the much more expensive Collector's Edition.

Of course, GAME have the better price right now.

Those images are *huge* - I'd suggest linking rather than embedding them, as 70MB page loads aren't going to be great for people on slow/mobile connections.

Sorry about that. Linked to 2 gifs, and reduced the filesize of the other one by 75%.

No worries
I have to admit, replying with some Breath of the Wild gifs was a little tempting :stuck_out_tongue: I'm trying to convince myself that I don't need to buy this now as well as Zelda, but I think that I may end up losing that battle!

Well, you can get it for £15 more from Gameseek (link above), though I doubt that's quite what you're looking for. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hate artbooks, they get looked at once then never seen again. Give me a soundtrack CD Instead and I'd be more interested

I've played Killzone 1, 2, 3 and Shadowfall.
Pretty generic FPS gameplay in every game.

The problem with these pack-in art books is that the developer will ALWAYS release a full size one for retail not long after the game launches which contain all the art you already have plus more.
Could someone explain the premise of this game to me? Is it literally just hunting down machine animals?

The DLC isn't substantial, I couldn't care less about a steelbook case, so it's about £15 for an artbook. I don't see the deal here sorry. Cold from me.

Is it worth to buy the steelbook edition, considering I already pre ordered the standard for 35 quid 6 months ago?

Tempting. Got a standard pre order. Worth £20 extra?

This. This is the same company that released the awful Killzone Shadow Fall. I mean the other Killzone games were bland and generic but damn they really tried their best to make a turd with Shadow Fall and yet people are throwing money at them for a generic Far Cry clone.
As for the extras with the limited edition, we're talking about a SteelBook and an artbook, not a statue.
Certainly there's mileage in waiting for reviews - I'd always encourage that before committing to a purchase that can't be cancelled - but do you ever give games the benefit of the doubt? Impressions so far have been pretty much universally very positive.
darkspace100
13 Feb 17#31
No. A company is only as good as their last product and I have way too many games to play to give them the time of day. Also relying on reviews is silly when most of them are paid off.

13 Feb 17#33
How is it a conspiracy theory? How exactly do you think review sites like IGN and Gamespot survive? Have you ever heard of when Gamespot fired a reviewer for giving a game they were promoting a bad review score and this was in 2007.
Illusionary
13 Feb 172#34
The same way that any other website survives - advertising revenue, primarily.

To be fair it was rushed and flat out by their standards despite some cool ideas. Their tech game was on point though!
darkspace100
18 Feb 17#36
All of their games were repetitive that got old fast once the shine of the graphics wore off exposing the below average gameplay so how exactly do they think they can keep an open world game stay fresh?
Currently sitting *just* short of the 90 threshold, but that's a pretty impressive showing.

Killzone 2 was incredible, graphically and gameplay wise.
It was a move away from the twitch shooters available at the time.

I dont care about reviews as they are meaningless as people have crap taste in games. After the mediocre trash GTA V and Fallout 4 reviews I dont believe any opinion other than my own.
Illusionary
20 Feb 17#40
Up to you. That does of course limit your ability to gain an accurate understanding of the game's quality without first spending your money.
darkspace100
20 Feb 17#41
No. Theres streams I can watch on Youtube and Twitch to see if the gameplay looks appealing. Relying on reviews are silly especially at launch when people are too hyped to see its real quality. If people would review a game like GTA V today after years of playing they would rate it a 7/10 at best. I would personally rate GTA V 6/10.

Since when did Far Cry have giant cybernetic dinosaurs as the main enemy? Not to mention the third person mobility and freneticism of Aloy.
The SJW complaints are the absolute worst. Pathetic manbabies who evidently can't take anything that impedes on their precious manliness and grotesque insecurities.

Reviews saying it is not like Ubisoft games thus smaller too(not collectathons, but also smarter etc ). Since it's an rpg you will be playing it more like Skyrim or Witcher.
Also the sjw thing seems random considering other games by Acti, EA and Ubisoft are much more progressive e.g Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Watch Dogs, Destiny etc.

Indeed... I received a cancellation email earlier today, supposedly due to payment issues. They just blamed my bank when I called their customer services team and wouldn't reinstate or replace my order, given that this edition was no longer showing on their site at the time (somewhere around 1pm) - I had to laugh (not *quite* literally) when the adviser suggested buying from another retailer, given that GAME have claimed it as an exclusive!
Fortunately the listing page has, as you say, now reappeared so I've created another order. Fingers crossed that it'll go through this time!

Of course, my copy probably won't be here until after the weekend, so I'll need something to distract me.
Of note is that you can buy a SteelBook (with a different design) from Amazon for £11.99: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Horizon-Steelbook-included-Exclusive-Amazon-co-uk/dp/B01LTI98I6/
Looks great visually, but this developer is known to lack in the gameplay department.

It's worth noting that the SteelBook design is different between the Amazon listing and this, though which you prefer is going to be a personal thing.
Hehe, probably the right decision, tbh :stuck_out_tongue:
