The item price is £49.00, but when added to the basket 15% (£7.35) is automatically deducted, so a total C&C price of £41.65
Would have went well with the other Halford's Professional tool chests that have recently been half price, but bleedin' missed them! :disappointed:

Probably would have done same if I hadn't dithered too much and Professional offer had gone! Ended up going for the middle Industrial chest....£200 down to £100 and then 15% off but then they took another 15% off the £85 so happy with that! A decent deal either way. though

Well, I ended up going for the 'Professional' in the end.
I did have a look at both ranges side-by-side and, I personally couldn't see much difference in the materials TBPH.
Yes, the wheels looked better, the boxes looked a bit deeper and the latching handles, although a great idea, not much use to me (maybe great for someone who has the 'Industrial' cabinet/boxes in a van or similar).
So all in all, ended up with the middle box for £41 and the cabinet and top box for £169.15 despite the 50% + 15% off offer being finished on those two items a week or so ago.
Quite happy @ £210ish.

Either one will be good. I just looked at it that the extra now may be worth it over the long term but I was kind of limited by then as the Professional bundle had gone back up in price. Now trying to figure out if I need the middle box that's down to £85 and reserved! As you say, decisions decisions!!

Thanks for that Nick.
Well, I had a call from Halfords earlier to say my order was ready to collect, so mentioned that I'd be coming on Wednesday to collect either the 'Professional' or 'Industrial' set, so assuming both are in stock, I will have a good look before deciding. I was just hoping there might be a deal-breaker that made the the 'Industrial' range a no-brainer.
As it is going to be around £130 more expensive, I just need to know if it's going to be money well spent. By the sounds of it, it may well be if it can hold more weight and is of more substantial build quality.
Decisions decisions!

I also saw them on here and nearly went for the Professional set but while I was still thinking about it, it went up so reserved the Industrial set. When I called in to pick it up, before I paid for it I had a look at both, on display side by side. the industrial is definitely more solid and just felt more substantial. It can take more weight, the metal drawers are a fair bit thicker and don't flex as much. Nothing wrong with the Professional and it depends on use and budget but happy with the Industrial set I got (and I have a Snap On chest which it is close to, quality wise). You probably need to look at the display and make your choice then I guess.

So does anyone have any real world comparison between the 'Industrial' and the 'Professional' ranges available in Halfords?
But if the 'Industrial' range of cabinets, toolboxes is definitely £130 better, then I'll go for that.

Exactly how much better are the black 'Industrial' tool chests compared to the red/black 'Professional' range.
I missed the deal recently on the 'Professional' range where the combined price for the 'Professional 7-Drawer Chest' and the 'Professional 5-Drawer Wheeled Cabinet' was £169.15 (with an unrealistic combined RRP of £400). I did get the 'Professional 4-Drawer Intermediate Chest' chest for £41.65 (RRP £100). So the total for three 'Professional' chests would have been £210.80 (with the 'Extra 15% Off All Workshop' discount), which I think is quite reasonable.
What I want to know before going to collect these on next Wednesday is whether the 'Industrial' cabinets/chests are really worth the extra £130ish.
I do actually prefer the look of the 'Professional' range in red & black, but if the 'Industrial' range is that much better, I will go for that and return the 'Professional 4-Drawer Intermediate Chest'.
The local Halfords is a 30-mile round trip so I can realistically pop out to compare.
I've edited together the different parts for a rough visual comparison (not to scale).
Looking at them like this I may just leave out the 'Industrial' middle chest and save £100

If you know someone with a Halfords Trade Club card then they can get the side lockers for £95 for the 4 drawer version or £80 for the 1 drawer version. As with my comment above, if they also have British Cycling membership then they can also get another 10% off these prices.

The cashback hasn't tracked yet but the British Cycling discount is applied in store and it always works at my local store.
Even if the cashback doesn't materialise it still comes out at £37.50 or so which is a bargain having seen the quality of the box

This is a good price for the drawer section.
Don't forget you can also get 3% Topcashback on reserve and collect orders along with 5% from Quidco if you have your payment card registered for in store use.
I've also got British Cycling membership which gives 10% off everything in store so hopefully this will work out closer to £30 once the discounts are all stacked!

Quidco instore cashback is 4%, thanks for reminding me to update my Quidco credit card details.
I'm not sure the codes will stack. I had a 10% off voucher code via email. It didn't stack so I just got 15% off in total.

To be fair, they had called, but I was in an area with no signal and only noticed the voicemail they'd left as I rolled up outside the Halfords store.
Did they order you one in at the same price?

Reserved one and went to collect it (20 mile round-trip) only to discover they only had one on display, which I didn't particularly want as it had a small dent.
The girl on the checkout placed me an order for one at the same price (had to manually discount the 15% I think) to be delivered within a few days.
Still gutted about the other two as I would've got em all!:disappointed:

Good deal. Heat added, I am so tempted but must resist because I have already spent loads this week on the base and top chests.
Damn it, I couldn't resist. Thanks for posting (I think)

I need to know as I've got the chance to pick up the 'Professional 5-Drawer Wheeled Cabinet' which is currently £249 and the 'Professional 7-Drawer Chest' which is currently £150 for the combined sale price of £169.15
But if the 'Industrial' range of cabinets, toolboxes is definitely £130 better, then I'll go for that.

However, I have just reserved the 'Industrial 6-Drawer Tool Cabinet & 6-Drawer Tool Chest Bundle' (with an unrealistic combined RRP of £610) and 'Industrial 3 Drawer Middle Chest' for £100 (RRP £200), with the total being £339.15 (with the 'Extra 15% Off All Workshop' discount).
What I want to know before going to collect these on next Wednesday is whether the 'Industrial' cabinets/chests are really worth the extra £130ish.
