Might as well just plug a potato into your tv. Probably better sound quality.

Rotherham had them in marked up at £29.99, scanned in at £39.99. Guy in shop said they were £5 last week, then quickly removed all the £29.99 stickers. " You can have one at £29.99 if you want one he said but price has now gone up to £39.99 "
Yeah right, bet there are none left today as he will have bought the lot himself, they will be knocked out in the local county borough

LOL @ people complaining about a 5 quid soundbar
I have this plugged into my projector and I can't fault it. Not the loudest though. Does struggle with the odd whispery art film, but at this price you could get 2 and put them together

Goodmans have always produced cheap, mostly second rate electronics. Although Onkyo isn't as good as it once was it's still way superior.

Don't get me wrong I'm with you on the "this will be pants!" Front but this site isn't called hot uk reviews.. it's a deal if it's the cheapest price point it can be found at in the U.K. u don't have to give it heat that's optional
ibblackberry1
9 Feb 17#75
Because, at its core, this is a deals site and not a reviews site. So heat will be given for this as its the best price for this product. Regardless than the product being potentially rank rotten.

Had one of these in the past. Sound was ok but my remote control didn't work so the whole thing went back. I paid £18 including delivery and was annoyed I had to return it and no replacement remote was available. I'd buy 2 at £5 each.

H1.HWK
9 Feb 172#57
Had one, went back to argos.... Don't annoy yourself by putting up with one just because it's a fiver. It's fair value at £5 for the hardware , but expect £5 worth of sound quality.

9 Feb 171#56
I had one of these and gave it away. They are utter dog turd. Even a cheap tat TV has better sound quality.
If its the same one as that, i bought it a few months ago on another HUKD deal for £22. I've put mine on top of kitchen worktops so i can listen to music while cooking, im surprised how good it sounds considering the price. its quite wide and bulky so i wouldn't have it in front of my tv but for a £5 its well worth it IMO even if its just for an occasional speaker say for a bbq in the summer or something.

Most tv's are about 12watts - so this is only a slight improvement. So you're really paying £5 for a paperweight.

9 Feb 173#43
Bought one of these a few months ago and it is a REALLY dreadful speaker. Similar quality to the speaker built in to my phone, just a lot louder. Not worth the £5 imo.
Yes it's cheap but it's not something that will benefit anyone. It will make your TV shows or music sound worse than using the speaker that came built in to your device.

I have owned one of these for a few months. Paid £40 for it. It's actually very good in my opinion and for a fiver it's a no brainier. The only issue I had is that it's quite thick so it obscure the remote sensor on the TV. So I had to improvise a raised to stand. But honestly it's as good as some more expensive bars.

It's £5...it's not gonna be great, but it's £5!!

I agree its only a fiver, but I still don't think its worth it, given that it made my TV sound worse rather than better, hence, in my opinion, I would suggest people don't even bother with it.

9 Feb 171#29
Even at £5 I think this is poor value - I found it to be an absolute steamy pile with awful sound (my tv speakers had far more bass, clarity and less hiss) and a remote that couldn't be bothered half the time! Oh, and the EQ settings (such as they were) would reset themselves constantly. Keep your receipts!
For balance though there are plenty of other thoughts and opinions on HUKD
