I've put together this based on a mixture of cheap flights, a cheap cruise offer at Pullmantur and a short stay in Gran Canaria. Ideal for those wanting some winter sun.
On 26/02 you'll fly from Stansted to Gran Canaria with Ryanair (hand luggage only). You'll stay in Gran Canaria in the lovely Corona Blanca Apartments for 6 nights. It's only on a self catering basis but this gives you a few nights to self explore, eat out in a few different restaurants before your cruise.
On 4th March your cruise leaves Gran Canaria and it is a 5 night cruise finishing in Malaga. You'll visit Tenerife, Lanzarote and Morocco (Casablanca) before finishing in Malaga. Rooms are inside cabins only but it is on an all inclusive basis.
On 9th March you'll arrive into Malaga and your flight with Ryanair leaves later in the day.
*Trip is based on 2 sharing and you will need to sort own transfers*
Book two people one way flight from Stansted to Gran Canaria £37.50 @ Ryanair
Book 6 nights in Gran Canaria at the Corona Blanca in Plays del Ingles £354.81
Book two people on the Pullmantur Cruise £245 * 2 = £490
Book two people one way flight from Malaga to UK €33/£27.93
Total per person £455.11

Problem is - how do you expect to be away for 10 days with just hand luggage?

You can add a bag for extra cost. I've travelled for 3 weeks with hand luggage only I guess it depends how much you want to take. With Ryanair this is your allowance:
All Ryanair passengers get 2 free cabin bags, one 10kg bag (max. size: 55cm x 40cm x 20cm) and one small bag (max. size: 35cm x 20cm x 20cm), with our Regular fare.

Is it a mistake in the OP when it says one way flight from Stansted to Malaga? Should that be Gran Canaria or is it a transfer from there?

It's one way flight from Stansted to Gran Canaria and then a one way flight from Malaga to Stansted - where the cruise finishes. Updated original post.

Its a good price and thumbs up for the effort in putting this together. I would be a bit wary though of Pullmantur cruises. The overall review rating on cruisecritic is 41% with more people rating it as terrible than those rating is as excellent. Being stuck on a cruise ship if things are not good could be a miserable experience.

Yes, it's not a cruise line I'm familiar with. Reading though the reviews I'd say it is similar to Thomson. I'd say for less than £50pp all inclusive it's having realistic expectations.

You get a magic "fare discount" from Ryanair? Bravo.
