Shamelessly copied from Brickset who deserve all the credit:
This Saturday, 11th February, you can pick up a free 30522 Batman in the Phantom Zone polybag using a coupon in the day's issue of The Times at Martin's and McColl's newsagents and convenience stores.

If you have a Waitrose nearby, get a free copy of the Times with a £10 spend. In my local the £10 spend INCLUDES the copy of the Times and a free coffee so only have to spend another £6ish

Brickset also mention that details to follow on a way to claim online also. (Handy for those without a Martin's and Mcolls nearby).

Buy a copy of the Times, take the token in it to McColls/Martins newsagent (they'd probably prefer if you bought it there though!) and they give you the Lego.

My other half runs a few Mccolls stores & they've been getting the deliveries for these in last few days. It's based on how many Times they normally receive in so smaller stores about 50 papers. The oldies will get in quick from 6am for the grandchildren so be quick!

LEGO ended their Sun partnership in 2013. They then switched to the Daily Mail till 2016.
Campaigners ended both newspaper partnerships.
Not sure why WH Smith isn't involved any longer though.

Just bought Times in Waitrose Sanderstead and went into local McColls. No lego, no delivery expected and the man said "perhaps you can try on Monday". I pointed out the voucher was for today.
Just back from my local Martins - they only got 10 so not surprisingly they had all gone.

Went to the Winchester Martins - "It hasn't arrived", followed by most unhelpful "didn't care less" conversation.
Anywhere to complain of stores not having stock? Don't see why we should have to pay postage because they failed to deliver. Do we contact The Times, McColls or Lego?

I went this morning to one of the shops that wasn't close to my home at nine and the nice guy told me, they were suppose to receive the toys on friday but they didn't, instead they were coming at around 10. So I went to the others 2 shops that they were even futher. And around ten they told me they sold out. So I went to the first shop at 10:25 and I could get two of the toys. All this in Brighton and because I like walking it was 1 hour walk to the first shop and 1 hour more to the other shops, that where in the middle of nowhere. So, genial for the guy in the first shop and terrible for the times because at ten oclock in the morning they were sold out everywhere and giving the toys in a few convenience stores (only three in brighton and none of them close to the town centre).

11 Feb 17#60
Well this went well! None delivered to my local either. The huge stack of Times on the floor when I walked in was a dead give away!
Wasted trip but I didn't have high hopes because a Martin's collection is always unreliable unlike WHSmith's.
Starting to think this was a bit of the con by the paper, probably was available at very few selected stores with as little as a box each.

Feel this was a waste of time. Just been on a wild goose chase trying to find these. The first Martin's had lots of Times newspapers, but didn't get any Lego sent to the shop. Tried a larger McColl's, but they had run out. I never had any problems when the promos where at WHSmith, although I hated having to buy the Mail.

received an email from the promoter to say deliveries by Royal Mail had been delayed due to weather - should be in later today. Just been back and they had received the Lego at around 11am, so managed to get one.
Delivering the day before the offer is cutting things a bit fine.
David23
11 Feb 17#63
Bad weather? The finest dusting of snow (like today) and the countries infrastructure grids to a halt? More like they couldn't be bothered to make a serious effort as it's a free give away. The Times will be pleased when todays sales figures come back in!

I feel lucky, I have a McColls, right around the corner. Rang them about 7am Saturday to see if they had any in and they said yes, about 8.20am popped in on my way out and bought two copies of the times and received two free sets.
I honestly only want it for the Lego Batman with the utility belt so I can stick him on my monitor in work! I very nearly bought a £20 Lego set to get it, just before this offer was announced, so thanks to whomever posted it originally.

From my experience:
Stores which sell about few copies of the paper normally, received 10 toys on Friday, the day before promotion.
Stores which sell more copies of the paper, received up to 60 toys on Saturday, the day of promotion, any time between morning and 1pm.
For that reason, the stores which had loads of toys, were stuck with them in the evening. Customers bought their papers in the morning and never bothered coming back with the voucher.
You may want to try your luck today.
Interpretation of the email, the stores received about the promo, was different in each store.
Some stores:
- collected the vouchers,
- destroyed the vouchers,
- wrote "used" on the vouchers,
- did not bother about the vouchers and given the toy with the paper,
- given the toy with a purchase of any paper, when The Times run out - LOL - true !
- did not realise that they had the toys as it was a grey plastic bag..
Again: You may want to try your luck today.
The vouchers do not have a barcode to scan them, the toys do not scan at the till either. There is no way of telling when the toy was actually claimed. As far as I am aware, The Times will be on sale until Sunday evening, right?
Call your local store!
Have fun :-)
