I have been looking for offers on the Fitbit Charge 2 for a while now, cheapest I could see it for was £113.99 from Currys and Very.
But just found an offer on the O2 Priority app if you enter FITBIT30 into the promo box you get £30 off £129.99 - so you get it for £99.99. Cheapest I can find it anywhere!

You need to press the little silver button until it switches on.

Fitbit shares have dropped like crazy, they are currently hovering around $6 a share. They haven't met their last four quarterly reports. They have taken over Pebble and Vector and are currently trying to move into the Smartwatch market which also isn't doing very well. If they are taken over, these products and the current software would no longer be supported.

****. Of course it would still be supported.

A whole lot of nonsense right there, well done. You basically looked at an article on a 'tech' site and regurgitated what you could remember. A lot of 'could', 'maybe', 'might' and 'possibly' there too. Basically nothing in the way of concrete evidence to warrant such a ridiculous post.

Hi. I don't recommend Fitbit. I had problems with them. Poor communication. They didn't have items I ordered and paid (probably were waiting for stock from China or something), and it took ages before they gave me money back.
Just be careful.

I have had a Fitbit for the last 3 years. I have always found their customer service to be really good. I have had to contact them twice with problems within warranty and in both instances they replaced the Fitbit free of charge following a short internet chat. Cannot fault them at all.

Agreed. Brilliant customer service. The Charge 2 is great, and a good incentive to get off your Bum. Battery lasts a week and notifications work a treat. Advert over.

Great deal. Charge 2 is a good bit of kit, if you liked the Charge 1. Better in every way -- battery, features, screen, and you can replace the bands. (Although credit where it's due, Fitbit customer services were always very obliging about replacing Charge 1s with bands that had peeled off.)

Have a Fitbit Blaze and can say that it's just excellent. If the Charge 2 is anything like it then this is a good buy. Swappable straps as well. The android app is full of useful data points. Nice find OP tempted to get Mrs one for Valentines as she runs regularly.

If she's an avid runner I'd recommend the blaze instead. Change 2 doesn't have GPS if she wants to map her runs

Never dealt with their customer service but know someone who had their device changed out 3 times with no issues after reporting faults (all times were worn out straps)

It can record exercise such as cycling, weights and running. It doesn't have GPS though so can't map your cycle route if that's what you're planning

Got two of these over Xmas, but one failed out of the box (just could not sync at all) and had to be returned to seller
Bit of a pain that as bought via amazon.es  Fitbit customer service a bit useless too as they dont have authorised centres to perform exchanges/warranty in the UK. You pretty much deal with your seller or send back to their base in Europe somewhere (at your cost). Lesson learned i guess
Kept one of them for partner and would say its OK. The app sw is really good and watch functions decent enough, Skemo's comment prob hit nail on head with 'pretty underwhelming for the price' - main flaw for me was how chunky it is...
Considered a Blaze, but was bit deflated by the failure so took punt with MiBand2 - does less, but overdelivers for its price and a much more compact wear

my experience exactly the same as yours. fitbit is a nice watch, and app is great, but just not worth £100.
took mine back after a couple of days and went back to the £20 Mi band 2. perfectly happy with that.

Reserved in-store at 8am today - all is well.
0830 - get an email telling me there's an issue with my order, but get no other kind of information. That's all the email says, no instructions no information, no contact details.
1300 - still haven't heard anything so call the store I've reserved it in. There's no stock. Told to call O2 direct and ask for it to be sent out as if it's not in stock, it won't come in either. Ask for O2's helpline, staff can't give me that as O2 online is separate from the shops and they don't have the number. Get a generic help number from the website and call O2, promptly passed from pillar to post - end up being told I will "definitely" have a Charge 2 on my wrist by tonight - they would call me at 1600 to make sure this was the case.
1600 comes and goes, so I open a chat with O2 - told that there's nothing they can do, they see the order and it will be processed soon (but can't say when) - told once again it will be delivered to store, contrary to what the store says. Asked to cancel the order as it was becoming silly - time consuming, confusing and just infuriating. Told they can't do that online, I need to call the shop. Try to call the shop again and it's closed.
So 2215 now, no further forward. I have an order confirmation and then a follow-up email saying there has been issues with my order, and then just a myriad of confusion and nonsense. But all in, still no FitBit.
Never, ever will I buy something that is not a phone from O2 again!!

No it doesn't, so that guys post is utterly useless ha ha. It uses the 'connected gps' that the charge 2 uses. The Surge is the one with the GPS built in.

It has connected gps using your phones gps. Just like the Blaze you recommend for some reason.

Watch this space, the smartwatch market is dead. Fitbit are slowly going under and their next move is to produce a smartwatch? Their stock price has tanked and the market they trade in is not big enough. I have been following their stock for a while now.

Oops meant the surge. That is the one with GPS. Connected GPS is basically marketing speak for 'use your phone for that'
