Do you still play it? I tried on Windows 7, and the crashing was so frequent, it was unplayable.

I only put in 120 hours to FO3, feel like I missed out, I've got 150 hours on New Vegas (so far) and 220 on Fallout 4, I should be ashamed of spending 490 hours on them but I'm actually quite proud :stuck_out_tongue:

Finished playing F3 on my windows 7 about a month ago. Not a single crash during over 80 hrs of gameplay. It was not GOTY, though.

Very unstable on Windows 7 for me, especially if you have Intel integrated graphics.
I needed to trick the game into thinking I had another card, to get it to work (link below)
Maybe setting compatibility options might help, but I didn't enjoy the game enough to try. Just uninstalled.

I kept having problems with crashing and I had to limit the game to use a single cpu core and remove all overclocking settings on my CPU and GPU and then run it in compatibility mode of XP

I see they are charging you £1:72 if you pay with paypal, how is that even legal, and at that price you might as well buy it from steam itself.
But if you buy via credit card they don't charge you, so went with mastercard.

OK, just tried to play this, the game still requires a 25 digit GFWL code to run, i cannot even play it without it, so i cannot log into GFWL and play this because i don't have a 25 digit code with the game, all this seller gives you is a steam code to redeem the game, but the game cannot be run without GFWL.
I have started a support ticket, but so far their only responce is, "its a steam game"...despite the fact they are selling it as Games for windows live Fallout 3 GOTY edition......we will see what happen's.
Yeah i saw that, but you still need gfwl and you still need to make a new offline profile to get it to run, even in offline mode, and really this is not a steam game, it is a windows game and like all the other gfwl you require a 25 digit code, all instant gaming are doing is selling you a code to allow you to dl the game, nothing more.
I am waiting to see if they will refund this, all this hoop jumping to get a game to run is a joke, even steam should not be selling this game because they too do not supply a gfwl cd code for it, just a unbelievable situation.
But thanks for the help anyway.

Don’t worry, you don't need one! Fallout 3 and Fallout 3 GOTY Edition purchased on Steam do not require a CD Key."
