Found this at my local Sainsbury's in Crayford. Only 1 on the shelf that I bought but red sticker so should be in other stores. Cheapest I've ever seen them.

I use 10 of these devices with two gateways and IFTT. I have found the system to be very reliable indeed. There is a slight delay, and its a faff to set up. But when your timers / IFTT rules are set and working it seems to just keep going. One of my switches has never had to be reset from the day I bought my first gateway, some three years ago.
I had to get a 2nd gateway to cover the conservatory and some device at the far end of the lounge, as these were struggling. Since the new gateway was installed, had no issues at all.

So out of 10 devices only one has never had to be reset in 3 years. I wouldn't class that as reliable.
I have 30+ LightwaveRF devices and in the 5 or 6 years I've had them I've never had to reset/repair a single device. They work faultlessly with no lag/latency.

I use quite a few of the Adapter Plus plugs and they are great. Totally reliable and great for monitoring usage and remote control of appliances. There is a delay of a few seconds when using IFTTT but this isn't unacceptable.
Good price for a starter kit.

Are there any state reporting dimmers about yet (at a reasonable price)? Got 7 to replace and been holding off for something suitable, but most don't Dim LEDs properly, don't confirm their state or are bloody expensive :/

Try fibaro dimmer.
Works with smartthings hub if you have one.

I bought a set of these when reduced to 50 a few weeks back. nearly took them back. Theyre laggy as hell, especially through IFTTT and the app is awful... says things are turned off when theyre on! Think the app is coded to instantly say off when u tap the device, rather than waiting to check with the switch (which they cant as theyre RF connected to the hub not wifi) emailed them and they confirmed that's how they work. Not trusting a heater with them after that and would recommend paying that bit more for we mo switches and no silly hub needed either.

Agree with this. I did take them back though. Moved to Lightwaverf. Much much better.

If you want plugs that report back to the hub/app then you have to pay extra for the energy monitoring ones, which use different technology.
I agree that these plugs are not quite as reliable as I was hoping. The lag between using the MiHome app, IFTTT, or Alexa can be quite bad - normally about 4-5 seconds but occasionally up to about 10 seconds and sometimes not at all. We've resorted to using the remote control most of the time.
Ironically, of the 2 switches in use, the closest one to the hub is less reliable than one on the other side of the house!

I also agree with the comments above, I bought some at Christmas to control a fish tank light, they turn on and off very erratically, I would never buy them again.

Lwrf is stateless too apart from the wireless switches to control the relays which things like an rfxcom can sniff. Same 433 rf tech. I have both and both work fine but highly recommend a Pi running domoticz or home assistant with an rfxcom and ha-bridge for Alexa rather than the simple gateway they give you.

There was one on the shelf in Kenton, near Harrow the other day. Didn't bother posting as needle in a haystack for most.
