Got one of these, over the phone, on Monday evening for my son, as a price match to the recent Virgin SIMO deal.
Then grabbed another one for myself last night, as an upgrade from my legacy T-Mobile SIMO.
Not sure if it's available to everyone, but worth a try if you're in the market for a new 12 month sim only contract.
I was also in an EE store this morning and the assistant claimed I could've got it through him too.

Yes I know that but you miss my point! Just wondering if this deal still be available when I can upgrade next month..

No dice. I can't get this until March when I'm due to upgrade. Deliberating on whether to pay off the remaining early termination charges which is roughly £28 and get this now OR wait few weeks and potentially risk losing this deal..

Also got my PAC Code hoping retentions will ring back with a half decent deal, PAC Code valid for 30 days but as Ribs85 states its a buyers market so sat here tapping my fingers.

I just rang retentions as my contract is up. Best offer I got at £18.99 for 7gb. Blah. Although I'm technically a T-Mobile customer currently so I don't know if that makes a difference. We'll see.
Got my PAC, ready to shop around. It's a buyers market.

I'm just on chat with EE to cancel th sim I ordered yesterday. I don't think it's right that those leaving should be offered the deal but those wishing to remain are not. Especially as Virgin are offering similar

I phoned them at about 12pm today and it took me about 90 seconds to get them to offer me the deal and about 2 minutes more to get my 'welcome to your new contract' text

I got the same offer over the phone just now. I popped into a store this morning and the guy wouldnt even entertain the idea and said it must be a third party offer...which it isn't.

I called them today and they offered either 20GB with unlimited calls & text + 500mg roaming for £15 or 15GB same as above but with roaming (incl the 15GB throughout the EU for £16 ... Both with BT Sport (1 year) and Apple Music (6 months)... Any advice? Someone managed better?

Can confirm this works. I had 1 and a half months left on my 24 month contract, rang EE and said I'd cancel and pay the early termination fee and move to Virgin Mobile. They price matched the Virgin deal there and then and waived the early upgrade fee too! £14.99 per month then for unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, 20gb of double speed 4G data, and 500mb of EU data. So it's actually a bit better than the Virgin deal and a penny cheaper! 12 month contract though.

How do you guys go about getting these deals? Ask to cancel your contract? Or discuss upgrades?

Dude... London (well, Wimbledon)... EE 4G MAX... 40mbit.
Not bad, but not anywhere near this good. In Holborn I once got 80mbit. Yes the phone is capable of more.
I called EE to complain, and they told me it was my phone. Without saying which phone I have, I said ok which phone would get the full speed? The operator then listed a bunch of phones, mine included.

EE don't give anything away or cheap.simply because they don't need to the 4g+data is twice as fast as anyone else.they also have 4g data in certain big city's at minute reputing to be up to 100meg.this is a good price tho so heat added

It's normal for ee to not discount anything for new customers, but you will get 10% off your second and third SIM if added to the same contract. The good deals will come next year when you're out of contract.
