Don't forget you have to put these somewhere that has still has decent reception, they extend wi-fi, not invent it out of thin air. If you put it in a room where there is no reception they won't work, you need to put it between the main router and the weak spot.

It can also be used as an access point and Wi-Fi Bridge. Useful for any items that only have a wired connection and you need to connect wirelessly, for example I have used these to connect a cctv DVR to a wireless network where it wasn't possible to use a couple of standard powerline plugs.

Had one of these prior, just couldn't get it to work without it dropping the Wi-Fi I was intending for it to extend, when it worked it was good but in the end opted for a power-line extender that is much more reliable.
Overall though good for the price and I'd imagine if you aren't looking to extend over too great of a distance it may be what you're looking for, heat added
