Why so expensive these days?

Make a new Amazon account with gmail and every month just put a dot > . in a different place in the email address when making a new account. I imagine Amazon will stop this at some point, it didn't stop me getting Prime free for some 6 months though.

Bought this last month at this price as well - runs great with my G4600 on a MSI B250M Mortar motherboard.

Unless you are a benchmarking nut this will be plenty fast for most people, you wouldn't notice any difference in most tasks/games, especially if you are running a B250 chipset as it is limited to 2400ghz anyway - don't buy into the hype.
If you want to notice faster in games/heavy duty software then put your money into your graphics card first then CPU.

You won't find 16gb of DDR4 anywhere near this price at the moment... must remember to cancel my Prime trail in 3 days though!

Depends on your budget, I'd rather spend the difference on a better CPU/GPU.

I spent 4hrs solidly looking for ddr4, and couldn't find anything this low...went for CMU16GX4M2C3000C15 @ £118, do you think I should cancel the order and go for this? It is 3000mhz CL15, and I do like the design (white led)...

I'm so tempted by this but I think that if I were to buy DDR4, I'd only buy if the speeds are 3000MHz+, especially since usually both 2400MHz and 3000MHz run at CL15 anyway! 2400MHz just doesn't seem that big a jump from DDR3 IMO.

Not that I am aware of. As I say, I believe it's worth the fee so I just pay it.

Probably, if you relax the timings a little. But they don't OC well, they're cheap DIMMs. Personally I went for these at £92 (4x4GB 2666mhz CL15) using the Amazon Fresh Promo (£20 off of £60+), so £72. Plus they're RED!

Just had these delivered from the last time they were this price.
Put together with my Asus Prime B250M-K motherboard, Intel G4560 and this ram and it flies.
Well I did replace an Asus P5Q-EM motherboard, Q9550 and some Corsair DDR2 memory for this budget gaming build but impressed with performance all round for less than £200.

These modules are fine, should easily overclock to at least 2666MHz.

if you are building ryzen you are going to want better ram than this

Excellent price, but not a Prime Member even though need it for a Ryzen build :disappointed: . Activated my free Prime membership, so sadly cannot use this avenue to obtain the memory.
