At the current drop rate, I calculate this will be approximately £2.58 at launch. I'll bite then.

No way it would happen without some kind of Sony - Nintendo agreement, which is slightly less likely than flying pigs. These first three crash games (well 4 with CTR) were Playstation exclusives, think of it as Sony's Mario, now do you think Nintendo are going to share Mario or Zelda with Sony....

Oh lovely price and by far the cheapest! Let's see what Base is going to do. (I have Base-o-phobia, I know!)
Edit: From their FAQ:
Payment for order will be captured when we dispatch your items unless your order was placed more than 28 days before the official release date. In this case your payment will be captured within 21 days of your order placed.
NOTE: Although we DO NOT immediately capture the transaction, some banks reflect the value of the order against your available balance immediately. In this case we have not actually captured the payment; the bank have merely 'reserved' the funds for us. This process is perfectly normal and is referred to as 'pre-authorisation'.

It's not out until the end of June right?
I'm guessing this is going to be a lower price game like Ratchet and Clank PS4 was and Uncharted Trilogy.
I'll wait for £20 shortly after launch.

The only PS4 exclusive that I'm interested in and the only one I'll buy for a long time which is kind of sad as they are essentially just PS1 games. I'll still wait until its on a digital sale which shouldnt take too long as I cant stand physical games anymore.

Why would you want Crash Bandicoot on the Switch anyway? It's pretty average in comparison to Mario games.

IME Paypal always means you pay on the spot, with the exception being using it for subscription type services, may be different at some retailers, but i would personally always assume paypal = pay immediately to be safe...

Yes, but that was after it was sold off and stopped being made by Naughty Dog. The first three (and ctr) were by naughty dog, which was part of Sony from 2001, so I still think it's just as unlikely to release on anything other than PS4 as I originally said...

I remember in my experience of using PayPal for preorders, GAME take payment on delivery. Had problems before with PayPal not authorising payment for a collectors edition only available in the UK at GAME which cancelled the order, and then I had to pay using bank details direct on GAME. But I use paypal for preorders at other gaming retailers like shopto which worked fine. First time preordering at SimplyGames after hearing great things of how they deliver well before release date.

Crash is now published by Activision- no matter which platform the originals were published on, the only part of this that Sony own is Naughty Dog- they sold the Crash licence in 2000. There's every chance this will be a timed exclusive.
That said, considering that every retailer is falling hand over fist to sell preorders for this at the cheapest price possible, I get the feeling this will be a disappointing game. It will probably sell gangbusters at first, and then people will remember that Crash hasn't held up well over the years...

I'm sure a lot of work goes in to these remasters, but I can't help think it's not just a lazy cash in. Lazy in the sense that they can't be bothered to think of new levels, bosses, attack patterns etc. Still, I guess it brings great old games to new kids. Meh.

Whilst I am looking forward to this set I can't help but feel disappointed it isn't running at 60fps. The whole set should also cost no more than £20, and I'm sure it'll drop to that price shortly after launch.
For people expecting this on other platforms - it's not impossible but it's not likely either. The original three games were developed by Sony and Naughty Dog. If they didn't still own some sort of rights to the game I'm certain we would have seen ports to other systems way before this. Even the PS3 got PS1 classics releases whilst other platforms missed out. Naughty Dog also used a level from Crash in Uncharted 4. I'm pretty certain they didn't need Activision's permission for that and I certainly don't remember them being thanked in the credits.
TLDR - Sony created the original trilogy and likely retained some form of ownership over it. If you want to play the remakes you'll need a PS4.

It looks like pointing ng out that this may not be an exclusivewas enough to ruffle some feathers...
Even if thats the case its gonna be a long wait for it to release on other systems probably even a year. It could be a 5 year exclusive for all we know but if you want to wait years go ahead. Even then this game not being exclusive could just mean a random PC version. I doubt this will release on Xbox as people only buy shooter games.

have to admit I was completely wrong on this one. Still quite surprised too, guess it makes business sense to get it on every system going but their true home will always be Playstation. Just hope they make good use of PS4 Pro....

Ok not sure why your telling me this information as I already know that (along with the fact that CTR was the last one Naughty Dog developed) but thanks  Didn't mind Twinsanity though
darkspace100
24 Feb 17#50
Fun fact. Naughty Dog never owned the Crash Bandicoot IP and were only licensed it by Activision or some other company for 3 or 4 Crash Bandicoot games. This is why I still think this is exclusive as Sony owns everything from the first 3 games and that includes the game's titles so unless Sony agree with Activision to release on other systems they can't. I guess thats why theres no mention of it being exclusive as Sony could decide one day to allow Activision to release on other systems even if thats very unlikely.
beefkr10z
24 Feb 17#51
Sony published the first three games, but all copyrights and trademarks were with Universal software (check the credits in the first few seconds of this video https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ioSaPJHxSkU ). The Crash Bandicoot rights were passed about via different publishers and game studios, until Activision bought all the rights in 2008. Sony really don't have a say in the matter, and they probably just paid a whole lot of cash to buy a timed release, like Microsoft did for Rise of the Tomb Raider.
darkspace100
25 Feb 17#52
Wrong. If that was the case that Activision have full rights then they would have ported the Crash Bandicoot original trilogy to other systems years ago. I know you Xbox and Nintendo owners are absolutely hungry for some games to play but please don't bring your hopes up.
beefkr10z
25 Feb 17#53
Activision have had the rights for nearly a decade, and all they could do was stick CB in skylanders. It took a few seconds in Uncharted to remind people that Crash was actually a thing. To be honest, I couldn't really care less about The trilogy- from the first impressions posted online today, it looks like Zelda will keep me busy for months to come!
