I've owned these and the MDR1000x , I kept the Sonys, sounded better to my ears.

still undecided if i go for the Sony 1000s but concerned the noise cancelling itself won't cut the grade as all reviews suggest Bose are better and more comfortable. decisions decisions

Good headphones but you can't use wireless without noise cancelling. They also sound average without noise cancelling. Battery life is good. Horrible thumping problems when walking (the noise cancelling trying to cancel the sound of walking). Great for long train journeys and flights. Not as good as competition for pretty much anything else. Get the older gen 25s.

Google to find how san Z does conversion. Wait for Amazon to inform you payment taken and item despatched, then google to find relevant exchange rate then and do calculation. Others know exact price in £ because they ordered item that was in stock for immediate payment and despatch.

In the first few posts, people were talking about how much cost them in £. Which is why I am asking them?

You do not the situations, do not know the answer, just assume people do not know the basis, and reply something which does not add anything, nor being constructive.

Got this on a similar deal before Christmas - even better value now with the price increase. Recommend Revolut - been using it for the last year or so.

Amazon does not charge until dispatch.

Even when they charged, it takes few days to appear on the credit card online statement.

Do not assume people do not know the basis and state the obvious which does not help.

Off-topic from headphones, but just out of interest, I checked - Revolut euro costs 84.35p at moment, while mastercard interbank is 84.75p. That Revolut app is really user-friendly if you are having to watch your finances closely and juggling funds around.

I really like them, but somehow I expected the noise cancelling to be better (although those were my first NC headphones, so I had no comparison)

well it seems you evidently do not understand what the interbank rate, you are trying to defend the indefensible, very simple:

Revolut = use the pure interbank rate, a continually shifting rate

Halifax = uses the exchange rate set by mastercard, which is the interbank rate WITH a fixed spread on top to protect against fluctuations, it is usually around 1-2% off the interbank rate

You do realise what interbank rate is made up of? I'm happy that you prefer that card. Good for you .

Have a think about it. You'll work it out.

You can't on the black colour because they're not in stock. If I select the silver colour, which is in stock, and then go to checkout I get three shipping options, the most expensive of which ships for delivery tomorrow.

Very strange .. as I did not even get option to change shipping :confused:

U chose the slowest shipping which cost about 5 euro
I chose the second fastest shipping which cost about 8 euro
While there is another fastest shipping which costs about 13 euro
Amazon dunfermline fulfillment centre is about 2 hours from my school so I think it is why I receive it so fast.

Wrong, Mastercard nor visa nor Amex offer the true interbank rate, they even state this on their respective websites

Halifax offer you the MasterCard rate, which is the inter-bank rate, however the rate is not real time, it is end of day.

Well it's not, the best rate is with revolut, they offer you the interbank rate i.e. the pure exchange rate, Halifax do not offer you this

These are not designed for gym use.

Bose SoundSport Wireless are by far best option for the gym if you want to spend £100+ on them.

How much better are these than the soundlinks? Are there any notable differences? I have the soundlinks and think they're really good, but never tested the qc35s.

I was passing through Heathrow T2 in November, and the Dixons Travel branch there had the Sony's up at £260! I wasn't particularly in the market for some but had the QC35's on my want list. I tested both these and the Sony's. I walked away with the MDX-1000's..

Cracking price, but a 1 to month shipping time is a shame.

I bought these before xmas - am also a glasses wearer and I wore them 5-6 hours on a flight without any discomfort - by far the most comfortable pair of over ear headphones I've had.

At this price - it's a steal!

been using the Bluetooth sound links for a while and have wanted a set of QCs, couldn't say no at this price

I am a Bose fan and had a set of these. I have several sets of earlier QC's. There appears to be a design or manufacturing fault with the power switch. Mine were returned when they broke on first use. Basically the power switch slips under to casing locked either in the on or off postion. If you read on line reviews I'm far from the only one. I plan to re-buy them when I'm confident they've cured the problem

I've used over 70 headphone/earphones in my lifetime and I can honestly say these are hands down the best headphone I've ever had.
This is coming from someone who hates over ear headphones.

From comparison, the Bose are more comfortable, the Sony feel bigger and heavier and move around a bit if you twist your head quickly.

The Sony has better external noise filtering and sound better at low volumes. The Bose sound better at higher volumes but you only need them that loud as the external noise is louder than the Sony.

A colleague here bought both and returned the Sony as he preferred them at lower volumes and they have better control functions - volume, track skip etc. He says all the different modes on the Sony are a waste of time, he only uses the one that is the same as the Bose, but he just preferred the sound for listening to podcasts etc at a normal volume.

These or the Sony MDR-1000X..

Thanks i'll give them some thought, i have psoriasis in my ears so iem can make for some very itchy ears which is why i moved away from them, but on ears feel; and i think look daft so i hardly put the n60nc on whereas the qc35 were used all of the time

For the glasses wearer I can 100% recommend the Bose QC30.
