Will be honest, can get very busy at times! I'd advise to jump on all the big rides you want to go on with fast-track to get them out the way so to speak, it'll quieten down nearer the end of the day and you can then go on them again with very little queuing (if you so wish)

Thank you op for this, we love Thorpe Park. Just booked in March for myself and my girlfriend for her Birthday. I think £136 all in for two days of tickets, free parking, breakfast and early entry to the park etc is a really good price. Heat added!

You need to click where it says 2 adults and it gives option to add kids (3-11) and/or young adults (12-15). Adding 2 children or young adults will give u a family room with bunk beds. 12-15 are charged as adults though
helsyd
10 Feb 17#15
Great if both kids are under 12. 3 to 11 charged as kids go free. 12-15 'young adults' charged as adult even though still staying in family room with bunk beds. I have a small 13 year old so wouldn't really be that much of a bargain for us. For family of 4 with 2 kids 11 or under this is a really good deal so heat added even though not for me! :smirk:

That's where it might have ballsed up my order. I rang the number and was told it would cost £180odd, after complaining about the rise she got it down to £158. Would be a good little scam to reject bookings and take calls and sell it for a 10% markup. Or am I just too cynical?

Just looked at a video of the hotel and it doesn't look that great, tiny shipping container rooms. Was hoping it was going to be as good as Alton towers accommodation, but sadly it doesn't look like it.
I will vote hot for the price, but no way would I pay any more than that for such a small room.

I had the misfortune of stopping in this "hotel" a couple of years back. Oh my, I thought I'd wandered onto a set of Mad Max when I first got there, that or a container yard. The rooms are tiny, as in small, as in only room for two to stand up, and that's standing very closely together. The kids had to stay in their beds and take it in turns to get up. Toilet is amazingly small, and when you have a shower as it's a wet room, the water runs into the room itself. Never ever again will I darken the doorstep of the Thorpe Park "hotel".
Breakfast was rather busy, but the fast pass was nice. Now when I go I just stop in a premier inn.

Thanks op. Booked for May half term. But really annoyed by the credit card surcharge. I hate the way companies hide this. So had I read the final page more carefully I could have avoided it, but I don't like the way it is in small print!
I'm actually really disappointed.

Stayed here on a weekend in August last year with my gf. Rooms are small but pleasant. Aircon works well. Moody coloured lighting wasn't bad either.
We stayed on a special night where their was a nightclub event and many of the large rides were open at night to the attendees. Well worth considering but those dates probably cost a bit extra.
We arrived early and got on Colossus and Saw within 30 minutes then the park busied up. At nighttime there are virtually no queues. We went on The Swarm 3 times in a row without having to queue again - trying it at the front, back and sitting in some seats they had but in reverse (so you go backwards the whole way). Went on Stealth twice in a row without getting off.
Breakfast was a decent selection and acceptable quality.
About £4 a pint for drinks at the club event. Was expecting worse given that you usually get ripped off at gigs/festivals where you are tied into use of one bar.

If you don't fancy the tiny rooms on offer at the Shark Hotel there are other options....T5 Travelodge at Heathrow actually comes out cheaper for me at £150 for two adults and two young adults in a decent sized room....still only 6 miles from the park.

These rooms are actually modified shipping containers... they do the job, but are certainly very snug. Stayed in one last year with wife and 2 kids. You'll certainly need to 'snuggle' if you want to watch a film together.
That said, it's a pretty good price, and if I didn't have other priorities I'd probably book.
Cameron92 - was it 2015 you went? I only ask as they removed the reverse seats on Swarm before last season started... we had Merlin passes last season and I was gutted, never got to do it backwards :disappointed:

It's a good deal, the rooms are small but functional. If you book as just as 2 adults, they fold the bunk into the wall to create more space. I would personally say the rooms are better if you have older kids. There isn't a terrible selection of rides for a 5 year old, my 4 year old has tonnes of fun. The fastrack is good for cramming in rides before the park gets busier, I think we managed 4 or 5 before the time ran out. I wrote a review of my stay here

These are tiny shipping containers as you may of read, condensation is a problem in these as is the heating/aircon unit as it is loud and you need it on all night to cope with the condensation, there is a metal grillidge walkway on the outside that flat footed kids run up and down it at 6.30am rocking the shipping container!! I wouldn't stop in one again, however the breakfast is good and the fast track tickets till 11am are worth every penny ! In the hotel at night there was no entertainment for the kids apart from some crap garden games, table tennis and an arcade to eat up more of your cash !! Alton Towers seems way better by far if you can travel
