Lol that's so common and basically how this site works... lots of people votes with a glimpse of the picture or current degree without even reading the title not to mention details...

Only 4 colours to choose from, and the picture depicts 5, hmmmm, that's suspicious :stuck_out_tongue:
Side note: Matt Black is the best colour :smirk:

*jet :stuck_out_tongue: and I know, shame really, it's a nice colour, except the tendency to mark easily. I guess apple were going for a premium finish for people that splash out the extra for larger capacity phones, like I did

Well to be honest with the operating system, high quality pictures, few apps and some music the 32gb is almost full so I got an 128gb as well but paid a lot more for it - madness!
nathan3007
20 Feb 171#6
I was in the same boat, I wanted 64gb it was ideal for me, but when they removed it, it was either 32gb or 128gb and obviously because it's Apple it's much easier to have more storage than you need - I just opted for the Plus, then I saw the price and tried not to cry too much

Crazy how this site works.

Because most people who post and visit this site are absolute cretins.

20 Feb 17#10
But that was three month ago, is your logic also suggesting monthly price should have dropped after a few months? For £25 you get to use a newly released phone three months earlier, that was a better deal than this one imo.

Does anyone know how this site works? I've just looked at the same deal on the actual EE website and it's much more expensive.... just wondering how they can offer a cheaper deal than the actual providers.
Thank you

Phone comes from their stock and it's just the SIM card that's EE, I think anyway that's how Phones4U worked and Carphone Warehouse works etc.

The handsets are bought outside of the UK and given 'free' as part of the contract so there's no sales tax for the handset

Great thank you. I'm within my cooling off period for o2 so im going to take it back tomorrow and get this deal.... £10pm cheaper
Actually the deal above I just posted doesn't say whether you get the 6 months of Apple Music or the 3 months BT sport so might not work out cheaper if you factor those in?

I'm already with EE and out of contract. Can I take this deal and retain my existing number. I know you can request a PAC code when moving between providers but I've never gone through a 3rd party seller and stayed with the same provider. Thanks
yulu91 to dinglebin
20 Feb 17#18
As long as you get a PAC code you can move to any network as you like, doesn't matter you get your plan from 3rd party or themselves
kiepau to dinglebin
20 Feb 17#20
No you cannot take your number from EE to EE I tried and had to change my number, not a big deal for me but if you really want the same number you will have to move to another and then back again so try a monthly sim one and move back from there.
dinglebin
20 Feb 17#19
But I'm already with EE and this deal is with EE so I don't think I can retain my number.
Can someone confirm this is correct?

20 Feb 17#21
Called up EE and also went into an EE store to see if they'd offer this but they refused.
I'm already an EE customer but my iPhone 6 just isn't working properly, desperate for a new phone, but not out of contract until April.
If I take this external offer with a new number, can I change it to my old number?
mgk to WaxMechaniK
20 Feb 17#22
I dont believe they will let you when you are on the same network...you could move your exitsing number to e.g GiffGaff for free and then move your number to this deal a week later
Lynwen
20 Feb 171#23
People who want to keep existing number but is with EE and want to stay with EE...
cancel your contract tell them you want to go to PAYG keeping existing number..
then your free to start a new contract using your existing number..
I had this argument with EE yesterday. Lol
dinglebin to Lynwen
20 Feb 17#24
So when i start the new contract with EE via Mobiles Phone Direct I will initially be given a new number. How do I then request for EE to assign my old number that I've switched to a PAYG to the new phone contract?
Lynwen
20 Feb 17#25
Yes... if your with EE, you can't take your number if you start a contract with a 3rd party and keep your number..
The only way round it is to change your sim card to PAYG then you can start with a new contract, keeping your existing number..
Lynwen
20 Feb 17#26
Only if you have your contract with EE...
if you the contract you have now was with CPW or any other 3rd party, your ok... but if your like me, that took a contract out with EE themselves you can't keep your number and buy from a 3rd party..
Lynwen
20 Feb 17#27
You end your contract, and tell EE that you want to keep your number but want it as PAYG, when you start a contract with mobiles.com or such like, they will be able to transfer your number from the PAYG to the new contract...
Lynwen
20 Feb 17#28
It's easier to take your number to another network than from EE themselves...
All you need is to ask for a PAC code and your new network will be able to transfer your number across...
it's pathetic!!!!

My daughter's partners contract ended in January, I've been on the case trying to get him an iPhone 7... when I phoned they said £55 for 10gb and unlimited texts and calls.. when I phoned them yesterday, they price matched mobiles.com... £40.99 for the above and no upfront costs..

Absolutely right - I've been stunned by the number of recent deals that have got toasty-hot when the item is just its normal price, I wonder if it's this Trump-esque atmosphere of "fake news" being applied to this site. Literally an item is posted, one replies to point out it's the normal price, a flurry of angry denials from the OP follows and it soars to be super-hot. But the item is the normal price!
Anyway - thanks for sharing this OP looks like a good price for this phone including that data.

good deal, but tbh, after buying my 128gb OP3T for £450 and then paying £10 a month with Vodafone for u/l minutes and texts with 4gig of data I would not swap, but that's only my personal opinion.

It's a good deal but sadly the equivalent upgrade costs £200 upfront for the phone. Heat added though!

21 Feb 17#37
But they are 'free' with the other deal, but it costs more per month... so essentially not free
I like the cheaper deal at £30.99 a month, my missus looking for a new deal and its winning right now
Both deals are good though.

Once you take out your contract with EE on this offer can it be changed with them? I'm on an EE 10gb unlimited calls/text with 7gb EU data etc for £15 and would like that. (I know, pigs might fly)!

I know from experience that you can get what you want from EE, it all depends on which CS staff you speak to.
How is this a 'free' phone? There are dozens of SIM-only deals out there with similar airtime/data for under £15 (eg: http://store.virginmedia.com/virgin-media-mobile/sim-only/pay-monthly-sim.html - £12 for 6Gb data) meaning that you're paying £24/m for 24 months for the phone - £576. That is neither free nor cheap. And you're tied into a 24m contract, whereas the Virgin and others are 30day rolling so you can switch whenever a better one comes round. Freezing cold for me.

all u have to do my friend is request a pac code from ee, temporarily change to a pay as u go to another network usually within 48hours this is done. once ur on the new network get a pac code again and use that to get the new deal on ee.job done

i dont understand how come the PHONE IS FREE. its simply not true. so you would normally pay £10 for the same amount of minutes, texts and data forexample on iD mobile. but here you pay £35.99 so you are paying an extra £25.99 x24 months which equals £623.76. so be aware, you are paying this amount for the phone. ITS NOT FREAKING FREE.
