People where trying to answer your question regarding the quality of the item the post is actually about, but because you couldn't be bothered looking for one with a twin port US plug yourself you were getting answers you didn't want and sounded very snotty in your replies and I'm the troll!!

Anyone seen anything similar with twin ports? My problem is that I want one with interchangeable plugs, but US (the flat 2-pin ones).
The 2 port version is one pound cheaper....and the anker webpage says it can output upto 2.4a per port. I imagine the 4 port outputs a similar level. The IQ technology varies output per attached device.
im looking for the same, preferably worldwide type 2 or 4 port from a reputable brand... let me know if you find one!

Might be being blind but how many amps per port is this?
I'm after a dual port which can put out 2.1 on each port. Thinking this might work?

i bought 2 syncwire for the missus as she needs at least 3 ports, one for travelling and the other in the house and it is very good. it's intelligent charger well made but heavy with us pin built-in which folds out and you can attach the U.K. or Europe adapters. I have replied to a number of queries about the syncwire on Amazon.

You're replying to something completely different - I was referring to the two products linked by OpineDevine and brainbug100, neither of which are Anker.

Just go with the anker and buy a travel adapter to plug it into?!
it is 27w, and mobile voltage is normally 5v, so output should be 2.4a per port. tablets require 2.4a to charge at a decent rate whereas older mobiles at least 1a
samseng to HereKittyKitty
5 Feb 172#17
sorry just redoing my maths, as it is a bit more complicated. max across 4 ports is 5.4a, and I assume max per port is 2.4a which anker don't seems to specify. for example if you're charging a tablet using one port and drawing 2.4a, then it leaves 3a to be shared across the other 3 ports, I.e 1a each.

The aLLreLi looks good and covers Australia which the syncwire does not but feedback about the former build quality and overheating put me off, so I went for the syncwire which I would highly recommend (if not travelling to Australia). If anyone need to charge 4 devices simultaneously, I would not recommend this Anker (they make good stuff but there are better on the market for the same value) as it is too low powered and the fact that Anker does not provide sufficient information that it only shares 5.4A across the 4 ports. The syncwire and aLLreLi is on offer (I got the syncwire when it was around £10 each) at the moment. Also don't confuse fast charge (which the manufacturers advertise) with the Qualcomm quick charge technology. None of these will "quick charge" any devices with quick charge technology

5 Feb 17#33

the ones you want are "Quick Charge 2.0, Lumsing 25W 4 Port USB Mains Charger" or "Quick Charge 3.0, Dual USB Quick Charger [Lifetime Warranty] - RAVPower Turbo+ 30W Wall Charger - Fast Charger for Galaxy S7 S6 Edge /Plus, Note 5 4, LG G4, Moto G4, HTC One A9" which will do the same job as the samsung adaptive fast charger and both are on offer on amazon at the moment
dudedude
5 Feb 17#35
they don't even list this on their website. it's a lower grade device with only 27W.
At 12W/device, this should have 48W, not 27W.
samseng to dudedude
5 Feb 17#37
yes agree with you that's why I would not recommend it
for 2 port adapters, to charge 2 tablets efficiently, you would 2 x 2.4A x 5V = 24W and therefore for 4 ports adapters if need to charge 4 tablets it would be 4 x 2.4A x 5V = 48W (i.e. same conclusion as you). For 27W this should be normal price or is over price at £9.99 !!!
imran999
5 Feb 17#38
Ankers 2 port version is rated at 24w, so 2 ports at 2.4a each.
The 4 port allows similar but you would not be able to fully load the device across all 4 ports. Some of the ports would revert to 1a.
But who has 4 devices charging all at once?
samseng to imran999
5 Feb 171#39
In that case, what do they (including anker) sell 4 port devices if they don't think there is a market for it? Duh?
Mentos to imran999
5 Feb 17#42
We do, but only overnight when the slower charging doesnt really matter.
One thing I do like is the dimensions of this charger. Nice and slim. Due to the design of the UK 3 pin plug our sockets tend to be well spaced out. Most other places with 2 pin sockets don't afford much space, so often when plugging in UK chargers with adapters/etc you can't use adjacent sockets.
imran999
5 Feb 17#40
When did I say there was no market for it?
Just described limitations of the device in that it can't charge 4 heavy load devices at once.
samseng to imran999
5 Feb 171#43
you implied nobody charges 4 devices all at once hence no point having 4 ports to use and neither you nor anker mentioned the limitations until we worked it out . in fact both you and anker were very misleading about its limitations

Cannot understand the love for Anker on here, seriously disappointed in them myself.
Bought a couple of years ago one of their 5 port chargers, one port of which has gone faulty. Read many an Amazon review of which others have had the same problem. Turns out the original revision of them (stickers with serial number) had a high number of fault problems.
Now any normal manufacturer that admit liability with a fault in a product would happily replace as a gesture of goodwill. Not for me, as it is outside its 18 month warranty, the most gesture of goodwill they would offer is 20% off a repurchase....
Well I am sorry Anker, there are plenty of other brands fighting it out on Amazon, such as Tecknet, 1byone etc. They can shove their 'customer service' where the sun does not shine...plenty of other companies to try.

Well you are one of a few disgruntled people who have purchased Anker products. I have read many reports and reviews on their products and the large majority of those that have had problems praise Ankers customer service. They don't even want the product back they just send a replacement that is well open to abusers.
Don't worry though Anker will survive without you.

I have. First thing I ever bought from them was a USB Hub with a weak point on one of the ports. When it failed just outside the warranty I noticed they had switched to a fixed cable design and so removed the weak point, so I bought the successor. I mentioned this on the customer feedback they sent me and they refunded the initial purchase. I now buy Anker where possible.

As a rule with items I do not have anything to complain about, glad others fared better. Sounds like you have 'beef' with my complaint for some odd reason, perhaps it is because we have bickered before, either that or you do not believe me.
I can only reiterate my own experience, not everyone else's, I would sooner give Tecknet, EC Technology or 1byOne a try.
In fact, you have just reminded me, I will try escalating the case....would you really be happy with a product that is inherently faulty under manufacture whereby a revision fixed the problem and a company just wanting to palm you off with a 20% discount on a new one.?.......if so great, kudos to you, but I am not you, I am one of a 'few' disgruntled customers. As already said, they know about these earlier revisions, it is not in my instance a matter of trust of dishonestly of sending a replacement and 'abusing' the system....once again, seems you do not believe me.
Whilst I am aware your products have an 18 month warranty, in my instance the product in question as I had stated has many Amazon reviews whereby the revision had faults (early versions with sticker rather than printed serial number). Now usually products that are inherently faulty get replaced from a manufacturer, I am either fortunate or unfortunate that mine lasted beyond its 18 month warranty, however I am not at all happy with a goodwill gesture of 20% off another one when the shoddy manufacturing liability is with yourselves. A company is judged on their customer service, in my instance you clearly have let me down with a product that was not up to standards at manufacture, had a high level of reports of USB port or overall failure, and simply let me ask you this question, "what reason would I have to put faith in Anker as a company that have had shoddy products for sale, and poor customer service in relation to inherently faulty goods?"
Let's see how wonderful their 'escalation' team is :smirk:
