Seems reasonable for a sub £250 machine that takes a 9KG load.

People like to rip on Beko, they might well not be the best but more reliable than Hotpoint & Indesit will ever be.

That's a very lightweight washing machine indeed.

only good thing is that its with Costco and their after sales are second to none, and you will certainly need it.

Don't do it. I've got through 2 Hotpoint top of the range washing machines in 4 years. Both with bearings gone and only 2 of us in the household. I could, of course, have paid their £150 insurance to fix them. Lessons learn't...

Regardless of a 2 year warranty. Make sure to pay by credit card and you have considerable rights even after the two years.

do you use bags for your stuff ive had an ultima for years and v happy, in the manual they advise not puting in net bags as it unbalances the load and ruins the bearings

You are probably the lucky one, most threads like this always mention what the poster said, brought up with the U.K. brand hotpoint, bought all hot point appliances and then few years ago did it all again. Went through 2 dishwashers one replaced by retailer as there was so many issues then the next had similar faults including flooding kitchen gave up in the end and bought another make no issues after that. Washer engineer was out every few weeks, in the end gave up paying the extended warranty charges to cover the high labour charge and bought another no issues since . Fridge is the only thing that they haven't been out with but cost a fortune in replacement salad bins and door bins because of the cheap thin plastic they use. Once great British brand ruined by one company after another.

No as I said there are only 2 of us. First went after 14 months @ 2 washes a week (Ultima) 2nd was an ultima Black 1400 spin lasted a bit longer. All they wanted was to make me buy a warrantee for it so they could send an engineer. I've gone for a direct drive LG now and fingers crossed its ok.

Jeez. Is there anyone who hasn't been burnt by Hotpoint/Indesit? Shocking brand and customer service and I'll never give them another penny.

Confirms why I bought a Bosch in 1998. Still going strong. Had 3 services in that time. Last one 18months ago for new brushes.

Had a Indesit gas cooker, never worked right. Finally binned it after 5 years of hell. Got a Zanussi now and very happy. Have a Hotpoint frost free fridge freezer, which I have to defrost myself every six weeks. Still battling with Hotpoint after 7 repair men have been to look at it, and still not working. Hotpoint/Indesit are finished. Shame as they used to be a respected brand.
I'm shocked Costco Online are even touching them. Thank god the warehouse side still do Samsung.

I've had this model for 3 years, still going strong and not too expensive on electricity either.

I love the way everyone is an expert on a brand after having a singular bad experience.

Not only that but, knowledge is power in situations where they go wrong outside of warranty. Which Guide to Consumer Rights

I previously had a zanussi, I currently have a hotpoint aqualtis, this is the second machine I have had from hotpoint. have had it about 7 yrs now but have to get an engineer out every few months to replace the brushes, the drawer is broken and the machine is rusty, makes a dreadful racket and dances across the kitchen. The last engineer put the bits back in the wrong way round. My husband and I had both spotted what he had done, it was an absolute joke! And these people do it day in, day out!! They're definitely not the good brand they once were.
