Sorry all. They do hold weight stated. I put my mother in law on the top shelf and it remained standing. If it holds her, a metric tonne is no probs for these bad boys

Can these really hold so much per shelf? There was a screwfix one a few days ago that claimed 200kg per shelf?? I ask because I have olympic plates that i want to put on these in the garage.

you can get 265kg per mdf shelf 5 tier, 180cm X 45cm X 90cm one from eBay for £25 each delivered if you buy 4 at a time. I bought 12 recently and the ones I bought are strong..

Always been at this price, so there is no sale price, but it is a very good price, saying that I did buy two last year and they look very good and strong.
You can adjust the height of each shelf according to your needs, and no need for any tools to install it. Great.

Not everyone lives near a screwfix though my nearest is 25 miles away so paying the postage (£22.98 total)works out cheaper than driving to collect after factoring in petrol money and time spent

brought this yesterday and let me clarify, THEY DO NOT HOLD 175KG PER SHELF.
175KG is the collective weight if distributed evenly. also nothing actually holds the boards to the meter frame.
that being said, they are still decent for the price.

Can you not read the item description? It clearly states 175kg per shelf

The 'was' is just to get you to impulse buy. They have always been for this price. They're ok but the wood shelving does warp if the shelving rack is stored in damper area. Shelves are just boards.

Can you not read his post? he clearly said he actually bought it and it doesn't hold 175kg per shelf
Bought 4 of these some time ago. After taking forever to build one, I cut myself several times in using it. The other 3 are still in boxes & earmarked for the charity shop. Plastic ones are so much safer & lower weight bearing are fine for me.

Such a simple person. do you really want me to dig the packaging out the bin and upload a photograph of the instructions that clearly state the weight has to be distributed evenly across all 5 shelfs. Or maybe a photo of the self board so show that it is 6mm MDF and would certainly not hold 175KG. Ever thought that maybe the description is wrong....

"This five shelf unit offers an incredible 175kg maximum weight on each shelf, allowing you to store even the heaviest of items with peace of mind. It has a very simple assembly design, each piece simply slots together with no bolts or screws required"

Got to be pretty bad at describing the item to go into that much detail about its weight bearing capabilities

You must have a very skinny tumble dryer if it fits in one of the shelves.

I've just got mine and it clearly states 175 PER shelf. You must have been supplied with another product. Did you buy from this website? There's many different versions hat all look similar

Anyone who has said this is difficult to put up based on the instructions clearly needs to have a word with themselves

I purchased 5 shelves, assembling of one took me 2 hours. Boltless system designed by an idiot, I must say. It would be 30 minutes if it had bolts. I can't understand an idea of such stupid boltless assembling, really. You better don't lift it otherwise you would be assembling this again
BTW - if you already have one, don't forget that 2 tongues must go into 2 holes!

Ok it took me 45 mins, 1 hour tops and that was with a 3 year old trying to help/getting in the way. Did you use a mallet? This is very simple I can't see why you struggled so much
