Not sure if the internal HDD is 2.5" or not, but if it is and you don't like having an external device connected 24/7 you could transplant it into the PS4.

And you can tell in this instance as there is no connection for a power supply on the case; therefore it is bus powered and cannot be 3.5".

I've never had anything but great experiences with Amazon. when I can't cancel an order, I just refuse delivery and they refund it straight away. they let me return an opened hdd and phone case before Christmas because I didn't like the quality.

Actually, I have found that not to be true. last summer, I placed an order on Amazon at about 02.00 one Saturday morning and tried to cancel about two minutes later when I realised I had made a mistake regarding the item's details yet Amazon would not cancel the order and by the time I actually got a response from customer services some time on the Monday afternoon, it had already dispatched and I had to go through a returns charade before I could get my money back and be able to pay for the correct item. I've been very wary ever since.

Next time order 1st, then check your bank balance as you can always cancel the order before they debit your account. Anyways, on the upside your bank balance remains the same so perhaps your funds are meant for something else.

Thanks, finally got myself a new HD. Was waiting for Seagate's 4TB price to come down, but disappointingly it went up. Does anyone know if these Toshiba Canvio drives can be stripped from their cases? I don't like feeling dependant on one whole unit (HD + case) if something goes wrong, like in the case of WD hds. Also being able to plug them directly to the motherboard through SATA is a plus.
