Not unless they upgrade your package to this themselves. Otherwise you'll have to transfer to another company's PAYG SIM, then back to Virgin.

That seems to be the silent trade-off.

Its the new 4G contract. Yes it uses the EE network. I've had no issues with quality or service since being on their 4G plan over the past 4 months.

"I think EE don't mind"
Of course they won't mind, they want you to use up your data allowance as fast as possible so that you'll pay for additional data.
The question is, would they mind if you had unlimited data on your plan ?

TalkMobile are offering 12GB for the same price. Their signal is complete **** in the West Midlands though & it's a 12 month contract, luckily I cancelled within 14 day period
Only disadvantage with EE is that the data doesn't roll over. However, the LTE speeds are not capped, and you get free BT Sport and Apple Music for six months.

I could spend 90 minutes describing the painful 7 hours I have spent articulating and re-articulating during roughly 20 calls made in the last two weeks on hold, fobbed off, cut off, assured the problem was fixed, promised 4 call backs none of which happened regarding the issue of broken voicemail, having joined Virgin 3 weeks ago.
Apart from the abysmal service, the problems described and the fact that all my calls drop out when I'm on the ground floor of my freakin' house, I have no complaints about this POS network, their flaky signal, or their stultifyingly ill-informed powerless script-reading call-centre monkeys.

All I can suggest is make sure you quote the plusnet deal - she brought it up on her computer then went to discuss with manager before agreeing, and don't give up, they often offer you something worse first so make sure you are politely threatening to leave if you don't get the £10 matched

I am not sure if anyone have face a bar on phone if you use alot of data even though its 20gb .. as i noticed they have suspended lines for many people who often call 0871 0844 which was in their old 3g tariff allowance. This may be completely unrelated but plusnet who use EE say there is no charge for tethering. Could be a special agreement they have or something but I think EE don't mind. I've tethered from my plusnet SIM fine. EE coverage is great where I am, more 4G coverage compared to three... I did use an EE SIM for a month before switching to plusnet and I found lower speeds when tested so I find it likely EE throttle the signal for the other companies.

I just transferred over two numbers from O2 to Virgin using those deals, the £6 and £15 plans. I remember there being a timer at the top saying it would expire at the end of Jan but their page is still showing the deal but as others said it's not applying the discount online.
I just tried to get my friend to upgrade online using his account and it's showing the 20GB plan for £24/mo now. We'll give them call tomorrow and see what we can do.
Forgot to mention, the signal isn't that great but is decent enough. I travel a lot for work so the 20GB rollover each month if not used is awesome, I've cancelled my 32GB EE sim which was available back in November.

Got the 20GB data deal for £15, on the 30 day rolling contract two weeks ago. It's more than adequate in London.
Have a 4G EE mast over the road from my house and get 57Mbps Download 15Mbps Upload on BT Mobile, yet 25Mbps Download 8Mbps Upload on Virgin.
There is a speed cap on Virgin, but that's still fast enough for most mobile needs really imo.
I value the cheap price compared to non BT Broadband customers and 30 day contract on Virgin for flexibility. The data carry over is also cool.
