Spotify Premium £1.99 for 2 months. I did a quick google search to find current Spotify deals and this showed up. I think it's for new customers only but if anyone gets it to work with an existing account, can you let me know?
Just click through and scroll down to where it says "2 months of Spotify Premium for just £1.99" and click on the link below, if you've not got a PSN account, set one up (super quick and easy to do). When I originally looked at this it was for the US but you get redirected to the UK site and it's £1.99 not $1.99 - might be able to run it through a VPN if you really want to try to save those extra few pennies !
If anyone has a better deal for a premium streaming subscription I'd be happy to hear! I've used the Deezer 6 month 3 promo, 4 months GPM freebie, 3 months Spotify Premium for £9.99 and the 99p ones, so I'm happy to move around between providers depending on who's offering the best deal! Any promo's for the Family plans? Also, does anyone know if it's possible to use the student offer on a current Spotify account?
DON'T forget to cancel once you're set up! A quick heads up to FlexR for the how-to guide for cancelling the auto renewal (from an old post that I found when I did a quick search to check that this wasn't already out there in a current post).
1. https://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com
2. Login
3. Media tab (after Dashborad, Account and Devices)
4. Click Spotify/Music type
5. Expand 'Spotify Premium (Monthly Subscription) Subscription'
6. Cancel Automatic Renewal
7. Done! Enjoy your 2 months.

Just found this. 3 months of Napster for £1 (worth £30).
You're welcome! To be honest, I was hoping that some people would send me to links of some better ones, but it was the best I could find at the mo - people on here love a bit of one-upmanship so I'm hoping this will unearth some other deals...

Just to confirm, this is said just under the button to get the offer: Open only to users who haven't already tried Premium.
Also to OP, I can't remember exactly but I think I made my account a student account after it had been set up initially

Ordinarily, I'd be content to wait, but I'm getting ready for a 4 month trip to India and Nepal and, speaking from experience, the internet out there isn't conducive for downloading large amounts of music. So I'd like to get the majority downloaded prior to heading off, and then add bits and pieces while I'm away.

3 months for free (if you have access to an Android device).
I know it's promoting my own post and I hate doing it but if it gets you free music access, then I don't mind.

If anyone is game for sharing a family account so it's £2.50 a month, I'd be happy to set one up? I've been searching for a good Spotify deal for a while like OP and besides missing the deal from last year, I haven't seen any pop up since :disappointed:

Once your 3 months of premium end then so does the access to the downloaded content. I think it may be possible to stop this if, before the 3 months are up, you block the spotify app from accessing the internet. That way their servers won't be able to stop your phone accessing the downloaded data.

For anyone looking to move from Google play music but is reluctant because of their playlists, I recently used Unportify which was near perfect (I had to sacrifice some Tswift songs for Spotify though) - https://labs.villoslada.me/unportify

What are the limitations (apart from not having access to dreadful music!), are there limits to the size of playlists or the number of playlists/albums you can move at any one time? I've had a look at a few different utilities to import playlists and haven't found one that hasn't been crippled so that you need to use the paid version. I hope this is the one that stops me looking any further!

Hi there thanks for this post. I really would like to sign up for this but I'm going wrong somewhere, I have a PSN account and an old basic Spotify account (never bought premium). On my iPad I have followed the instructions and tried to find the link for the 2 month offer but it is not there, do I need to do this through my account on my PS4?

For those of you that have a large media library and want access to that on the move, look at Subsonic... $12 a year, so $1 a month, for access to your library no matter where you are providing you have network coverage.
I know a lot of the music I have I cannot get online via apple/tidal/spotify etc..

you needn't upload anything, it's watches folders you tell it too, essentially it's a remote player to all music you have on your PC or Mac in my case.

Sadly it does, I say on, I use a mac and it goes to sleep and subsonic still works, it basically turns your PC into a server... the beauty of it for me is you can stream at any quality you want (subsonic can do the transcoding on the fly for you to mp3 128/256/320 or whatever you want. My whole library is in ALAC and I do no transcoding.

For anyone who needs to unlink an existing spotify account on there PS4 to get it working with a newly created spotify account: https://link.playstationmusic.com/spotify/details this url lets you unlink it!! EDIT: this still doesn't let you re-link with a new Spotify account nightmare!!!

I finally got round to downloading the modded apk from that site and can confirm that it isn't a "full premium" version that can be used instead of using a subscription.
The premium feature that I need is the ability to download music to my phone and with the latest version that I downloaded just now (only released yesterday, the other versions were all outdated) still throws up the message that I need to upgrade to premium :disappointed: The download was fine and it logged on with no issues, but this feature doesn't work.
If there's a different apk that allows this then please let me know.
