Just seen this on Morrisons Facebook. Spend £30 or more in store and get 10p off a litre of fuel. Collect your coupon before 12th February and redeem by 19th February. Quite a low spend threshold too as I think it's usually spend £50 to get the coupon. Valid in Wrexham and Guiseley stores apparently

Anyone who wants to put supermarket fuel in their car must be mad!!! Damaged engines cost a lot more than saving a few £'s

Here we go again... Let's start the discussion in another fuel deal.
I’m not the only one. Edmund King, president of the AA and visiting professor of transport at Newcastle University, says: “Petrol and diesel fuel quality is governed by the same European standard, whether it is sold at a supermarket in Manchester, a motorway service area on the M25 or an independent outside Mevagissey
“Supermarkets source their fuels from all of the major producers and suppliers in the UK. All fuel sold here is tightly controlled and must conform to specifications.”
I've used super market fuel in a range of cars from new to old for at least the last 15 years and never had a single problem with any car that could be anything to do with fuel so I'm perfectly happy to carry on saving the few £s

Yawn, not that old chestnut again
You are aware that supermarkets use the exact same refineries BP, Shell and so on use

Does it really matter that it may be store specific? A deals a deal. Hot from me
Robbo11 to whitechick58
8 Feb 17#53
It doesn't matter as store specific deals can still be great deals but the heat voting system is a bit of a standing joke with many members who have seen far too many flaming hot deals based on a one-off local store specific deal the poster alone has managed to nab. Personally, I only vote hot or cold on nationwide store specific deals, not localised store specific deals, but each to their own.

Actually the rise has been because the OPEC consortium decided well before the EU Ref vote to slow down oil production commencing from the end of 2016

Either this deal has changed or I was far too asleep to be on HUKD earlier as I went and done my shopping at Morrisons and sulked all the way to the full price diesel

Judging by the heat for this deal, there must be a load of HUKD members who live in the Wrexham and Guiseley areas !

one thing I always notice about morrisons when they have a deal on fuel. they always put up the price of fuel by 2p a ltr then they give out the 10p off a ltr etc then when the deal is over they drop the price back down 2p a ltr. rip off.

This surely needs updating to show it's store specific. It comes to something when a so-called mod starts posting misleading deals. As if the fake Poundland meal deal that another "mod" posted last week wasn't bad enough.

Morries seem to be the main target for both Aldi and Lidl, especially in my area anyway.
I can see one Morries closing soon! Bad enough now with stock control since Aldi opened and when Lidl opens soon, they will be hit hard!

Unfortunately the £ has dropped by 20% odd since brexit vote so as oil is calculated in $ the price of the fuel at the tank has risen... as has oil price anyway...

Maybe an attempt to keep shoppers?

Once deals like this appear the other supermarkets usually start to drop their prices. Not by as much but not usually with a shopping caveat though.
with the Morrissons more card this actually works out at 11p a litre as well.
