my PC is playing up so was thinking of replacing it with a cheapie,is this worth buying just for shopping, using my printer and a bit of movie converting?
thanks

A great desktop if your using it for basic tasks but it may depend on movie converting though.

Personally for video conversions or any kind of image rendering I'd be looking for 8Gb RAM

Pretty much perfect for that. I would think movie conversions might not be the quickest but overall for the price it's a decent basic system. Heat added.

Can the components on this be upgraded?
Edit: Just read the description - says "All of the range are built on foundations that can be expanded, giving you grater flexibility whilst future proofing your PC.".
I wonder what can / can't.

I might be posting another deal on a computer which has 8GB RAM so stick around.
Amd deals are showing up because their new Ryzen CPUs and Vega GPUs will send old stock through the floor. Don't buy amd anything until Ryzen launches later this month. Even if you don't need it's performance it'll make older amd stuff cheaper. This is a last ditch attempt to shift old stock!

good advice I reckon let's hope Amd pitched the new cpu at a low price

Thanks for this , how much do you think they will drop in price ?

Ryzen will be on par with the latest Intel cpus. Current amd is actually very outdated already so it will probably come down a fair bit in price. Will be your bargain basement cpu.

I like how I got an i5 2500K with 8Gb for £100 second hand. Sometimes picking up somebody's old gaming rig costs almost nothing!
