Why does anyone aspire to look like those girls? Sulky with bad hair and excessively thin? Don't get me wrong I like slim women, but the anorexic look is not appealing at all.

Models aren't generally chosen for their 'looks' in the classic sense - they're either chosen because they make the clothes look good or they have a 'unique' style/look.
