Just picked up some small Yankee jars in Poundland. The woman at the till said when they have had them before they were more than a pound but that's what I got these for. Not sure if I was lucky or it's national

Miss-price in your store im afraid.
I picked two of these up on Saturday in the Beaumont Leys (Leicester) store. Scanned on the self scan at £5 each. I queried with the member of staff, as there was no shelf edge label stating it was a different price, and the manager was walking past at the time so he asked the manager who said they had only got them in Saturday, so hadnt had chance to put the £5 shelf edge label in but they were 100% £5 each.
The two i tried were "Amber Moon" and a lemon one which was horrible but had to be worth £1 but at £5, no thanks.
They had 3 different little wax melt tart things at £1 each.

Trouble with Poundland now, it's not just Poundland...
Sometimes you see things in there and think wow "this is normally £6" and you can get a bargain, other times you get to the till and they say "that's £6" & you have to give them "it's bl***y Poundland" speech.
In fairness to OP though the picture does have the £1 sticker under it.
Sneaky Poundland.

They are little 120g ones. They are about 8cm tall, and 5cm in diameter.

Wish I'd seen the post about them being £5 before I went looking. None in Clydebank, Paisley Phoenix or Partick, although I was looking at the regular candles at £1
