Since the price in the other deal has gone up this looks like the next best thing.
Comes with a global ROM so should receive OTA updates and seems to be compatible with all UK 4G networks (thanks to posters in the other thread for this).
Cashback available at Topcashback at 8% or Quidco at 8.4%
... price updated to reflect compulsory warranty, however to get around this (if you want), you need to select USA as the shipping country and add to basket then when you view basket change shipping country back to the UK.
Possible cases and screen protector (please double check yourself) are: Case1, Case2, Case3, Case4, SP.

Should be fine as long as you choose slow delivery method.
Currently Waiting for my Meizu M5 note.

Think previous threads suggested workaround for optionally avoiding the otherwise compulsory warranty is to initially indicate shipping is to be to US, than change to UK later. Sure somebody else will be able to provide more detail.

Good price. I purchased this phone through the Laptops Direct deal that was shown here earlier in the week. One thing that confused me with this phone was that on setting it up you can select English language but when it came to selecting your country it did not have United Kingdom as an option.

UK is never there. I always choose India. Don't know why.

these imports do not have UK in the region setup menu, but if you choose the Falkland Islands as location but time zone as GMT it will have British formatting.

Probably no more risk than compared to other sites based in similar foreign location. You could consider paying by credit card in an attempt to secure £100+ Section 75 protection, but that involves divulging cc details (edit: PayPal ref removed). Import charges of VAT + £10-£15 admin fee will always be present but if you avoid selecting shipping by any big-brand couriers such as DHL / UPS then the chances of being obliged to pay the charges will be minimised.

As far as I'm aware, Aliexpress don't accept PayPal. Also, it's worth noting that, regardless of this stores name, there is no 'official' Xiaomi store on aliexpress.

So, other than the half inch increase in screen size, are there any differences between this and the Redmi Note 3 Prime Pro?
EDIT-Google suggests the answer here is : yes, plenty!

Had them both - technically there might be differences but practically they're pretty much identical day to day. Apart from the note is bigger and didn't fit in my hand - I much prefer the 3s at 5".

I still dont understand why people baulk at paying an extra £8 for insurance; you really want to wait 4-6 months for a repair/replacement like I had to a few years ago?? (Umi - and the replacement broke almost as soon as I took it out of the box).
The store isnt "Officially" Official, but it is the store the MI forums direct you to; I have bought more than a few things from there without issue. Standard delivery is 2-8 weeks, with 3-4 being the usual wait; and I've not paid import duty on any order yet. A week of this (if not more) is delays at Chinese customs.
Make sure you order a screen protector for it, as the screens arent as tough as some; I always go for the plate glass, as I dont like the films.
However, NOW is possibly not a good time top be ordering, Chinese New Year is in under 3 weeks, and the customs warehouses are already bulging with stuff people have ordered to avoid the 2 week postal shut down.
I certainly wouldnt leave ordering another week.

I ordered these, case and screen protector, make sure you choose the Pro SE as the cases and screen protectors are 3mm bigger, and it does make a difference.
The hole on the back of the case in the wrong place for the Redmi 3S as it's shown in the center towards the top of the case but the camera and flash are in the left corner. The finger print scanner is in the middle towards the top.

The phone in this deal is the smaller 5.0" Redmi 3S, not the larger 5.5" RN3 Pro SE.
OP, in your deal description 'Case3' is a RN3 Pro SE case which won't fit the phone in the deal.

Ordered from AliExpress couple of months ago same phone. Opted for dhl and paid 2.50 in custom. As far as I know there is no official international rom, so would recommend to get one that is sealed and then sort it yourself (rom, etc.).

Great deal and was about to push the button as a replacement for my slightly battered Moto X 2014 but noticed the screen resolution is 720x1280. Damn. Such a good deal otherwise!
Depends on your requirements, but this has more RAM, more ROM, a fingerprint sensor and one or two other additions (can't really check atm as I'm out and about).
In response to another post, IMO 1080p is not so important for a 5" screen but that's the beauty of choice.

I guess that's why it's more expensive than the other one. Looks good. What about NFC?

No NFC unfortunately, otherwise it'd be perfect.

I selected India too, after doing a Google search and one of the things I found said as the phone was aimed at the Indian market select India as it had extra settings or apps to other countries. It didn't state what these extras were.

At the moment, the Redmi 4 does not have an option for Band20 4G. If that isn't an issue for you then it is a better phone than the 3s although I don't think 1080 screens are worth worrying about too much on a 5 " screen

No problem downloading from Google Play (with or without SIM but on first installation only I had to close the app and then restart it for the d/l to kick in). My main issue is that I cannot select my google account to restore backups from, which seems to be a known problem.

Can anyone tell me what the camera is like? I want a small (no more than 5") phone with as good a camera as possible for under £200. I have the Sony z3 but the battery life is dire!

if you have £200 i'd probably recommend the lenovo on sale at three which has an even bigger battery and a slightly better chipset.
Both will have OK cameras, so decent enough when good light but will be pretty pants in low light.
try googling for sample shots from both and you might see what you think is better

Case
OP, in your deal description 'Case3' is a RN3 Pro SE case which won't fit the phone in the deal.
Seems you need to step up to the Prime 4 to get a 1080p 5" screen. Also the seller on Aliexpress confusingly calls the Xiaomi 4 it a 'Pro' rather than Prime? https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Original-Xiaomi-Redmi-4-Prime-Mobile-Phone-3GB-RAM-32GB-ROM-Snapdragon-625-Octa-Core-CPU/2178148_32763245357.html
