You are not giving good information. You are not helping.
The 1TB in this deal is enough for a new player. Even then, X1 can use external storage upgrades which is less technical than PS4's internal upgrades which requires partial disassembly AND software transfer.
The first rule of helping a beginner is you do not project your opinions as fact as it is misleading and selfish.
They are virtually the same.
Both can play Blu Rays, both have many media apps such as BBC iPlayer and Netflix, etc.
Key games of 2016 like Battlefield, Overwatch, Inside and DOOM are on both and run virtually identical.
Key differences relevant to a beginner:
PS4 is the only thing that can play PS VR (Virtual Reality), which is the cheapest VR solution of its kind.
X1S (slim model in this bundle) can play 4k blu ray whereas none of the PS4s can
PS4 has exclusive games such as Uncharted 4, Ratchet & Clank, Infamous, Until Dawn
X1 has exclusive games such as Forza Horizon 3, Gears of War 4, Halo 5, Sunset Overdrive
PS4 has close upcoming exclusives Horizon: Zero Dawn, Gravity Rush 2, Persona 5
X1 has upcoming exclusives Halo Wars 2, Crackdown 3, State of Decay 2
(the above lists are examples and not complete lists)
Buyer will therefore have to decide their preference likely based on price point, available games, and potential friends already on either network. There is no simple "better" console.

Amazon did do this and horizon 3 for £275 but it's out of stock now. Think this is the new best price and heat added. Horizon 3 is £25 most places anyway.
Plus John Lewis is a good store, warranty etc.

Xbox One S is same as PS4 but PS4 is better. Only advantage the Xbox One S has is that it supports 4K Blu-ray disc where as the PS4 doesn't. Both system do still support standard Blu-ray discs.
The PS4 has more advantages at moment;
- Variety of Games
- More Quality Exclusives (not broken, cancelled or buggy like the competitor)
- Better Software aka Dashboard (shame on Microsoft as the Dashboard on Xbox One Sucks)
- Better Hardware (most games run 1080p where as Xbox One same games varies between 900-720p etc
Only thing Xbox has going is the 4K Blu-ray drive and let's face it hardly any games lol. Even most of the exclusives are available on PC with upcoming exclusive games will be available too. The Xbox brand is not what it use to be last generation.

- PS4 has more exclusives, Xbox has more higher rated games on meta critic.
- PS4 next gen / VR is already available al'a the PS4 Pro, the next gen Xbox (the Scorpio) is due for release "2017 Holiday period, probably November", as such any Xbox you buy will be out of date in less than 11 months.
- Xbox has EA Access, PS4 does not.
- The Xbox One S has a UHD Blu-ray player, for some totally insane and unknown reason the PS4 & Pro only sports a 1080p drive.
- Both support drive / storage upgrades, both require a premium membership to play online, both offer free games with premium membership although unlike the Xbox 360 gold games neither consoles let you keep the games if your membership expires.
Think everyone's comments are very valid. Both are great consoles. Your generic third party games; FIFA, battlefield etc will be on both consoles. I'd YouTube ps4 top games and Xbox one top games. (Recent video that shows games released last month (Christmas). I have friends who prefer Xbox one and friends who prefer PS4. Depends what exclusives you prefer.
Halo, forza horizon, gears, killer instinct etc (Xbox)
Uncharted, last of us, street fighter 5, GOW (Ps4)
Home in on the exclusive games from watching the videos and decide what your cup of tea is.
Personally you can't go far wrong with either of them.
Lucky to own both of them and for me uncharted is the best adventure series ever. But horizon is by far the best racing series ever.
But top games like red dead redemption 2 (most anticipated game of 2017), along with Star Wars battlefront 2 are coming out on both consoles anyway.

More higher rated games? Halo MCC 85 MC > when the game was broken for 6+ months! You get more quality and better support on exclusive games on PS4 hands down. With Microsoft it's just a quick cash grab then a middle finger to you.
- EA Access
Is pointless. Doesn't have the latest games to play. So your just better of buying the actual game. EA Access is only useful for older EA games.
- Both do support hard drive upgrades BUT...
Microsoft don't allow internal hard drive to be upgraded, you can only connect and use external hard drive. Sony allow you to upgrade internal hard drive and does NOT void warranty. Sony even has guides on there website how to upgrade internal hard drive. Microsoft knew games were going to be up to 50GB on disc yet they locked the internal hard drive from being upgradable. The Xbox 360 supported it but not the Xbox One.

2/ EA access is £3.99 a month, about what it used to cost to rent a game for a couple of nights back in the day, your entitled to your opinion but if you are interested in the games on offer or want to pad out your library, while I do not subscribe I wouldn't exactly call it "pointless".

I ain't a fanboy. I have had both consoles from launch date, the Xbox One S was my latest console. I have sold the Xbox One S and I am just sticking with the PS4. I just gave my input towards the post on which the pros/cons of systems.
Looks like Xbox fanboy get heart ache when you say anything negative about it even if it's true. Sorry Xbot.
The hard drive point is mute as most users are not technical minded. It's just too much extra work for a customer to upgrade the internal hard drive on the Xbox One/S, unlike PS4 where the instructions are officially detailed by Sony when it comes to upgrading the internal hard drive for PS4, PS4 Slim, PS4 Pro.
You break into your Xbox One/S, warranty is void. Nuff said.

Everyone knows the ps4 is just a slightly beefier version of a ps3, it brings nothing new to the table.
Variety of games you are aware 9/10 games released are multi-platform yeah?
As for the new UI, you'll find sony usually follows in Microsofts footsteps with updates.
1080p, 900p £4.27p if people cared about this as much as they claimed they wouldn't play on anything other than 4k gaming pc's.
For a console for the players who like to play a lot of games why have they not enabled external hard drive support? instead you have to go through the rigmaroll of **** around with software and screwdrivers
only reason ps4 outsold xbox one is price at release.

It's facts;
- More variety of games on PS4 including exclusives. PS4 just more exclusives currently and more upcoming 2017/2018.
- Better Dashboard aka works without bottlenecking or sluggish performance.
- Hardware is better in terms of performance. Just they way the games run/system works which again the software ties in and makes the experience better.
- Xbox exclusives games are now becoming available on PC
Now this is not my view but facts! The Xbox One S if you get one it's 50/50. You can either get a good Xbox One S or a faulty one (fan). Check YouTube of the amount of fault Xbox One S this goes for not only the standard model but other limited models too.

- Better Dashboard aka works without bottlenecking or sluggish performance.
- Hardware is better in terms of performance wise. Just they way the games run majority of them in 1080p/system works which again the software ties in and makes the experience better.

You explain to me how the Xbox One this generation better. Feel free to explain the facts. If it was better the sales of Xbox One would be higher than it's predecessor aka Xbox 360.
Do you understand about variety of games? The PS4 has more games to choose from to play. It has FPS, Racing, Shooters, Beat Em Ups, JRPGs etc. With Xbox One it has games but not many variety of games. On top of that the PS4 has more exclusives even many more coming up 2017/2018. It's facts.
The UI of the PS4 is no way same as Microsoft. What I mean by the UI it's neat, fast and you can do tasks without bottlenecking or sluggish performance. Please do no make out Sony UI is same as Microsoft lol. With regards to updates and download it's done different on Sony compared to Xbox. Heck Xbox don't even support multiple downloads nor has any download indication time lol
See this is where people don't see the picture. All this time Microsoft was trying to take over the living experience against Sony. Sony have been in the gaming industry for a long time and they have huge partners and relationships. Now they been kind of ruling the living experience for majority of the people on this planet. TVs, game consoles etc. They have always allowed the users to upgrade the internal hard drive of their game consoles. If you want your console to take over the living experience then why the F would I need wire/s or external hard drive/s dangling out of the Xbox One in the very first place? The Xbox 360 supported internal hard drive upgrade. Microsoft gave us this feature but took it out away from us. Yes external hard drive might be easy to use plug and play. Wouldn't it just look neater all in one place if you could just upgrade the internal hard drive?
Draw back of the external hard drive is that if you set this as your main default installation. Keep the external hard drive connected. Then when you turn off Xbox and the main switch on the wall for the Xbox, TV etc (some people do this). Next time you power on the console and boot it up, it fails to load the external hard drive. You have either;
A. Turn of the Xbox then disconnect hard drive and then turn on Xbox then plug in hard drive
B. Disconnect hard drive and re-connect while Xbox is powered on (can cause damage to the hard drive).
The reason why the PS4 outsold;
- Design
- Price/Hardware
- Games Console (no gimmicks cough Kinect)
- Exclusive Games
Those that say exclusive games don't sell console (GTFO). Last generation Xbox 360 sold 84M consoles. Sales due to Halo, Gears of War, Alan Wake etc.

What's your response to the facts I posted from you...oh wait it's = pish
Go ahead and try this and post a video on YouTube or somewhere where I can see this;
1. Make sure your external hard drive is selected as default storage location.
2. While the external hard drive is connected power off your Xbox One (not that power saver mode crap).
3. Then turn off the main switch at the wall where your Xbox One is connected too (give it a minute or so).
4. Power on your Xbox One with external drive connected watch how it fails to load.
I tried this on 3 of my replacement Xbox One S, using two different external hard drives. This was during the launch period of Xbox One S 500GB variant with FIFA 17. I'm not sure if the recent update has fix this or not. I would have tested again myself now but I don't have an Xbox One/S.
