Morning, gamers. I've been looking around for another genuine Xbox battery for the boys controller. I purchased one myself when Amazon had them for £11.99 and now need another. The price at Amazon has gone back up to £16.14.
Student Computers have them for £9.99 delivered but they're not in their original packaging. They are advertised as 'x-display and un used cancelled orders' and in 'an As New condition' with a 12 month guarantee.
Is it not better to buy a pack of 4 rechargeable batteries and a charger? Probably a similar price, and you have 2 ready for an instant swap over.

Hey Buzz! How long does this last with the XB1S controller after a full charge? Trying to compare how long with my Vapextech 2900 mah batteries

is the xbox one micro-usb controller cable needed ? or
is this just a spare cable if people need one and dont need the play and charge kit ?

It comes with the battery anyway. I just linked it in as an addition if you want a spare. They are really good and extremely solid. I just figured if you wanted a spare, I'd link it just in case

It's a piece of useless crap if you play online with headset and want to charge it in the same time. People on the other side will hear horrible noises.

The colour would be irrelevant, no? Or at least for these. These go in the battery housing, they don't replace it.
The reason I picked one up for the Storm Blue controller. The one I had previously, as you mentioned replaces the back casing as well.

Even the third party venom/gioteck etc ones will fit fine in the Xbox One S controller as the location of the battery compartment is identical on One S and One controllers. The only slight difference is the Xbox One controller is black so most third party packs are while the One S controller is white so putting the black battery pack on the white controller looks a bit odd but still works fine.
I have two Gioteck battery packs, they are decent and give a good play session before they run out though not quite as good as quality AA batteries like Duracells, though I'm not sure any rechargeable pack can offer that kind of battery life?

Unlike some of the aftermarket batteries this doesn't attach to the battery housing in anyway. Goes in like you're putting in a double wide AA battery  No bulkier either.

I think the venom twin pack at under a tenner is a better deal had mine for over a year and they are just as good

I had a Venom battery previous to this one on my Titanfall controller and after a few months or so, it was failing to hold charge for a long period of time. It was becoming increasingly frustrating to say the least.

They also have the genuine Xbox One Micro-USB Controller Cable if want to add to your order as a backup for £2.49.
