great price but 3w will only give the same amount of light as a couple of candle

3W LEDs are nearly equivalent to 35W halogen bulbs, so significantly more than a couple of candles.

Utter nonsense
I have 3.5w LEDs in my lights at home.and it's difficult to tell the difference between them and 50w halogen

10p in Stafford! Had loads from 3w to 5.5w, no idea if they're still there as it was early this week.

none of this stuff in Harrow - checked the other day when the 10p ones were posted, so don't waste your time!

LED to incandescent comparisons are so hard to do and vary massively between brands. I've put 40w equivalent Philips LED bulbs in after trying 60w that were blinding me! I'd say the 40w LED is much closer to the light output of a 100w incandescent. While the Osram 50w equivalent GU10 bulbs in my kitchen don't seem anywhere near as bright as a 50w Halogen and have a light output similar to some 25w equivalent Philips LEDS in some of my lamps.

Which Philips GU10s did you go for? I'm after some at present!

them to till, they are £0.01 !!
// edit: unless they have barcodes covered or crossed - then any price, as you said £1 possibly, but on original barcode, 100% £0.01 at till
don't take too many and mix with some other stuff otherwise the staff will notice and refuse to sell... happened to me today...
Very good price. Gu10 can plug and play which is great. No need for a transformer. Can't suggest enough if you have spotlights to replace them with led bulbs. Even if you rent. They last much longer and use much less energy saving you money on your electricity bill. Look to get warm white bulbs if you like that slight yellow tinge that standard bulbs give off.

Bought 2 packs today and they went through till at £1. Still a good price for me. Have bought stuff previously which has gone through at 1p but depends on who serves you whether they let it go or not.
