I got this last year accept it was the elite Nav model which has a nice big screen. Well worth the money. Heated seats, heated steering wheel, WiFi, cruise control, auto lights and wipers etc.

I ordered one of these last time this was posted...didn't test drive it before hand :O.
Turned out to be a great car. Yes it's a Vauxhall, but has everything you can think of on it and drives really well. Highly recommended and for a lease no worries on any long term issues!

You still don't get it. This car is the equivalent of a plain mild cheddar cheese sandwich on cheap white bread. I had one near this spec as a hire car a while back. The only thing that stood out was how bland it was.
Life is too short for bland cars. They're too expensive to waste the money on something that will bore you to death. And is not about speed, it's about how it feels, you cannot measure that in a review.

Just got my quote back, the payments on their page don't include VAT, so I've been quoted £161pm with £1449 up front (went for the cheapest monthly option, around £135 on their page). So total deal price would be £5250ish including fees.

The mini to which you refer is well over a second slower to 60, heavier, less equipped and more expensive than this "cattle truck" as you so describe.
In fact What Car also rates the Astra as better car....

A German one. Assembled in the U.K.
It was independent rear suspension (unlike the solid beam axle this cattle truck has) but is front wheel drive. It has a modern three cylinder petrol engine that won engine of the year. And it drives fantastic.

Isn't Vauxhall the biggest chav brand going? Pretty sure it is, especially the amount of povo-spec ones they sell in white but with big wheels.
They're certainly not for people who like cars any way.

Well this uneducated fool was a fleet purchase manager for a few years. The underpowered, old tech Vauxhalls and their poor reliability / build quality led to them being removed from the list of approved vehicles, despite massive discounts. It's only in the last 2-3 years they've removed bright red led displays for their poor audio systems for heavens sake.
But hey, keep loving that old tech eh !

I have. They've quoted me £194.98 per month (for 23 months). Initial rental £584.94 and admin fee £95.00, so total cost over term is £5,164.48. Seems they haven't updated their website!

This was a shock to me. I came from a 2.0tdi passat. That would average 55-60 mpg on a run. And 35-40mpg town driving. If you have a diesel with decent economy, moving to this will be a big reduction in fuel economy.

Got mine delivered in September. Although a nice car, the quoted MPG figures are miles off. The best mine has achieved on a run to london and back is 42mpg steady cruise control between 65-70mph. Around town i get anywhere between 25-31mpg. And its done around 4k miles.

I had been considering the 1.4t if I go with a Vauxhall but knowing that it's off the list. I currently get 52mpg 80% out of town driving in my 2.0cdti, think I'll stick with the diesel.

It's a deal if the lease cost is less than or close to the depreciation you could expect to suffer if you bought the car outright over two years. I'd be very surprised if you suffered depreciation of less than £4.3k so it's a deal.
A lease deal is a good deal if the cost is less than the amount of depreciation you'd expect to suffer. Loan rates are irrelevant.

Top spec yet parking sensors not included? I thought this is pretty much a standard in a higher trims now. Fuel economy is surprasingly poor. I got an SRi version of this car back in September, fortunately on a 12 month deal only, and I can't wait to give it back.

Vauxhall have built a good car in this Astra. Still wouldn't have one. It's better than the Focus mainly because this is 18 months old whereas the Focus is basically 6 years old and replaced next year.
...the engine is a peach too! Plenty of power for a daily, sensible car. As I've already mentioned it's specced up very very well too...

Vauxhall are so appallingly awful to deal with as a company. My Corsa has just been recalled (once again!) and I've been told I have to wait around the dealership for 7-8 hours whilst my car is repaired, or take the day unpaid, or whatever else, which is a total inconvenience to me, as they cannot provide me with a courtesy car or anything along those lines! Total and utter joke. Spoke to someone who supposedly works in their HQ, and she was so unbelievably rude. Horrendous company, would never, ever buy/lease a Vauxhall ever again! PS: not looking for a debate, merely just giving some honest feedback about this shabby company.

wow, I have a Peugeot and audi and both give me courtesy cars foc. last time I wax at Peugeot I got a new 2008m pretty terrible though and my 12 year old 307 seemed a better car. with audi I've had an a5, a3, a1, q5, q3

Yep I have to agree. Poor cars poor company. A few years ago we had Insignia VXR'S for work. All required new clutches within about 6 months. Vauxhall said it was the way we drove them despite the fact we had been driving Volvos and Evos in the same manner previously and with no such issues. Eventually someone found that the clutch in the 340bhp VXR was the same as in a 150bhp model. Apparently too much power to that type of clutch. Fast car but cheap components in that instance. I'll never touch them.
