TBH there's loads of sellers shifting the same/similar product at a similar price - I just chose an example at random. The provision for use with an external power adaptor makes that style much more flexible, especially as the non-powered options will fail miserably with multiple drives attached, for example.

I just like being up to disable stuff without unplugging. It's often the sockets that go on these things and no plug/unplug sequence should stop in from happening...until the switch fails.
