That review does not bode well for the CPU in this phone.

Rubbish! That report doesn't say anything bad about the 6737 chip. Entry level means it one of the cheapest chip in their range - not that it is bad. The rest of the report is about the THL T9 phone not the U008 Pro that this thread is about..

Glad you spotted that the review of the thl t9 was indeed about the thl t9, the point of posting the review was to inform people about the CPU on both these phones. :smirk:

Bought a white Ulefone Be Touch 2 last January direct from China. Don't expect any Android updates for any of their devices. The version it's running at time of purchase it will always be running.

FYI: Had a Ulefone - a Be Touch 2 (aka U69 apparently) as released Mid 2015 - for 18 months - it's been a good phone EXCEPT Ulefone can't be trusted.
It was meant from release to have Android 5.1 on it - but it was really 5.0 + fake additions.
While they issued a couple of ROM updates in the first few months after release - ie to fix some major issues it had from birth - they have done ZILCH since (ie since Oct 2015) ; ie never issued a 100% genuine 5.1, let alone anything later.
So while pleased with their ability to make VFM phone hardware, very disappointed with their integrity and firmware maintenance and personally won't be touching them again with a bargepole as result.

It's one reason these phones are cheap, lack of support. Samsung are very poor with updates as well, but rather very slow to produce them. My Galaxy S6 will get Android 7.1.1 Nougat more than 6 months after release of the OS. It also depends on the SOC (System on Chip) used, if it's Qualcomm based then there will be custom ROMS available which can extend the life of the phone, if it's Mediatek/Exynos etc then usually no chance unless devs get hold of the kernel source code.
They're definitely pushing 7.1.1 for S7 so maybe it's wishful thinking that the S6 will get 7.1.1 but usually Samsung just push the latest, so I expect the S6 to get 7.1.1 but I will have got rid of it by then fortunately, it's one phone that I've had the displeasure to own, a sack of crap is a good description for it. Also Samsung have appeared to have stopped security patch updates for the S6 too, hopeless update strategy from Samsung. Even if the S8 is amazing I don't want another Samsung product.

Have to second the concerns over Ulefone, a shoddy phone manufacturer that makes phones which look nice but actually are poorly built and defective.
I bought two Ulefone Paris's and they both developed the same fault, screen burn at the bottom of the screen from pressing on it.
I also dropped one of them and realised that the screen had been glued on and quite precariously too. It didn't feel safe at all. They'd clearly glued it like that to make the phone look high a premium phone but in all honesty, it made the phone prone to getting easily damaged.

Had the Power, Metal and my son has the 007. Wouldn't recommend Ulefone at all. All three phones had issues
So m560 is better.
Still tempted to give this a go.... Addicted to new toys lol

lol i have a op3 & huawei p9 (not lite) already as well as the if m560 (which i love and personally find under rated) and an idol 4 .... just cant seem to resist shiny new toys.
i would like to try a xiaomi just to see what the hype is about BUT honor 7's are going use for between 100-150 (one on ebay today went for 98 + 7.5 p&p) it was good condition and came boxed with charger & manuals etc. personally i'd rather pick up a used honor 7 than an imported xiaomi redmi 3s or note 3.
( i say that having had a honor 7 last year though)

stick with second hand better make. The megpixels for the cameras on these cheap phones can be interpolated higher with software and advertised as 13M when it is really only 8M.
