Good price.
Just make sure you use 10mm wiring with this shower... 6mm isn't up to the job.

Triton - cheap and cheerful. The 2 year warranty is about the lifetime of their showers - toss a coin whether your shower fails 1 month before the 2 years or 1 month after.

Heat added, just bought as my old shower is on its way out and probably about to cause a fire!

I've got a faulty Opal shower (solenoid has gone I think) in my second bathroom. Any idea on a reasonable cost for switching out one shower for another from a labour perspective?
Happy with DIY to a degree, but messing with water AND electricity seems out of my comfort zone.

EVERY homeowner should know how to switch off water AND electricity. :-)

This model is exactly the same as an Opal 2 model - they've just tarted up the front case and shower head a bit. Really quite simple to switch if you know how to isolate the power and the water. If you don't (or if you're feeling particularly lazy, you could just swap out the control board (with the solenoid) from your old Opal with the one in this. Nothing more than a few screws and crimped spade connectors.
If you're in any way uncertain about any of this and particularly isolating the power then get a spark in.

To be honest I don't know. The shower keeps going hot and cold and my uncle who is a plumber said I need a 9.5kw one.

I need the 9.5kw one but it's £100. Annoying!!!

I guess one good thing about Triton is that they do so many models you can usually find one that matches your current water and electricity supplies.
Why do you specifically need a 9.5KW? If it's related to cable size, If you have a 6mm cable you can only fit an 8.5kw shower, if you have a 10mm cable you can fit a 10.5kw?

Like boilers, I'm a firm believer in buying the best your budget can stretch to. Unless of course it's for a cheap rental or guest house. I was initially looking to scrimp on my electrical shower until all the tradesmen gave me their recommendations. Being the cynic that I am I went online with a list of 4 showers I was given and they all scored highly in all the reviews. None of which were the one I was going to buy. That particular one had middling to poor reviews. We eventually opted for a Mira.

ours went wrong around 6 months ago and we paid Triton £105 to repair it this is a £50 saving on what it cost at the time to replace it.

Yeah it's a long run, doing a 1st fix on an extension. And yes definitely not a diy job, terminating 10mm is not going to be fun.

Not really.. think you're going to need to budget £2/m minimum.
But 35m!!! How big is your house???
Don't forget 50A mcb and 50A switch.
Not being funny, but this isn't IMHO a DIY job. Only a qualified electrician should be installing a new shower.
Not sure on the situation if it's just a like-for-like replacement unit, but if you're installing new cabling then it's definitely a job for an electrician.
